Queen Chrysalis: Redeemed or not?

I could see the changeling race being redeemed by getting sustinence by BEING loved rather than stealing love. But they're much better evil.

Nightmare Moon was made to be redeemed and I never really thought of Discord as evil. Sunset Shimmer, I guess all ponies are redeemable but the changelings are just made to be evil.

I don't think so.  Luna was corrupted by the Nightmare Forces.  Trixie wasn't really evil, just incredibly angry and the alicorn amulet was able to corrupt her quickly.  Discord and Sunset Shimmer were redeemed, sure, but the redemption came through understanding the power of friendship.  Chrysalis, as a changeling, already understands how powerful friendship is.  She sees it as something she needs to feed, not something that can make her a better person.  She's to far gone for this show.

 

We will probably see more villain redemption in season 4, though.

Entire race that Rape(Sorry if too nsfw) To survive

 They feed off of love, as in the emotion of love, which in the real world parallel can technically trace itself back to sexual attraction but they do not feed off of rape due to the fact that rape generally does not coincide with the emotion of love.

I don't think it would be in character for chrysalis to be redeemed (didn't she kill a cat in the comics, making her the only character in the fim universe to end a life of any kind?) and even if she could be redeemed without going against her character I would still dislike it because we already have 4 severely overpowered magical beings in equestria, and bringing in a fifth would just make equestria look like some kinda failed RP where the owner forgot to say "no alicorns"

She wouldn't be interesting as a nice person. Luna was originally nice, so she just had to change back, and Discord changed with pride and humility. I wouldn't want to see Queen Chrysalis change.

King Sombra was a flat-out Complete Monster, and that actually made him stand out from the other main villains, so redemption for HIM would've been nothing short of an epic fail.

 

Queen Chrysalis's case, however, is a bit more complicated: while she has sociopathic tendencies, she DOES seem to care enough about her changelings to try to ensure that they all (herself included) have enough sustenance (which can only come for them via love-feeding). Verdict: she should stay a villainess throughout, but maybe could reform in the very final season.
