Ebooks have their place for sure (archive.org just says it all).  To be able to get rare books that are scanned ino order to be read by the masses, I love that!  However, when it comes to books in general, I don't want a Kindle (or Nook, or witchdoctor, whatever names they keep coming out with). I do not believe those are worthwhile.  Yes, you can bring hunderds of books with you in a single, sleek object, but really, who's going to read hundreds of books in a few days? Just bring what books you need.    Plus, books will last longer than an e-book reader ever will.  I have a library, a real library, of over 2000 books.  Who needs TV? Besides you can't beat the feel of a real book (or the smell)

For me it's easily e-books. There's several reasons for that:

1) E-books don't tend to have the same draconian DRM as other forms of media, so I feel much happier buying them online.

2) E-books are now starting to actually be much cheaper than their paper counterparts on many storefronts.

3) I'm a programmer. Just one of my reference books might weigh several kilos. Having all of them available in the same place and being able to fast-search them is just the best thing ever.

4) E-book readers are inexpensive and have insane battery life, which makes them ludicrously handy. I bought a Sony PRS-T1, which is extremely light and comfortable to use, plus I jailbroke the custom Android install and put Kindle on the device alongside Sony's own store. ;-)

Regular books. They are more comfortable for me and that feeling when You open new book and start to read it... it's something that no e-book has. Turning those pages... it may be nothing, but it's just too important for me. I can't stand e-books at all.

I have a huge collection of books, and to be frank, I like them the way they are.
I love the smell and feel of the paper, the binding, and the fact that when I buy an actual book, I get something TANGIBLE for my money, and not just bits in cyberspace.

Although E-books are convenient, regular books are the best.

I like the general feel and smell of the books, and also it's much easier to grow attached to something physical rather than electronic.

Regular books also pays more to the author than E-books, if I remember correctly. So I can express my gratitude to the author for the books that way.

I go to the point of downloading, re-formatting, printing out and stapling fan-fics because of how much I dislike reading on a screen.
