Lauren Faust and MLP Creator's thoughts on Pinkamena/Cupcakes

So I've searched and searched and searched, but I haven't been able to find ANY of the MLP team's thoughts on the amazingly good yet horribly evil fanfic "CUPCAKES", or the pseudo-fan made Pinkamena; our beloved Pinky Pie's crazed/evil split personality.

I do know that it was said "(Pinkemina) is a diffcult place to go... we don't like going there too much." during ComicCon 2013, but nothing more on any of the show's developer's actually thoughts about the character (or story).

Seeing as I am just a two-week old Brony, maybe I haven't found all the resources to quench my thirst for MLP knowledge. Does anyone know if there are official or off the record statements about Pinkamena or the Cupcakes story?

What are your thoughts?

I'm pretty sure they just feel shocked that a little crazy cuckoo scene from Party of One led to something so gory and bloody

But I'll let you know if I find any resources, haven't any.

I'm sure they would say the same for Rainbow Factory too. They're probably like OH THIS IS SO NOT CANON!!

I am sure they all know about it as to what they actually think about it is another question entirely.  I thought Cupcakes was hilarious because it was so over the top and out of character the prize for my favorite gorefic though goes to Ponyville Swat which while still pretty graphic is not as much as Cupcakes though it is a brilliant satire of the absurdity of the drug war.

How would they think? HOW WOULD THEY THINK? I think that they would think it's pretty, pardon for language, effed up. I think it's pretty effed up as well, but it's all in good fun. I mean, every fandom has a bad side. I guess the gore and clop is the dark side of the fandom. Sure, it's effed up, but Rule 34 prevails. How the heck did i get to Rule 34? We are talking about Cupcakes for crying out loud!

Why would they even comment on something like this? Lauren Faust and the creative team behind MLP already know that when you put something of this nature into the public eye, there will always be some deviant fans that create things like this. Besides, the MLP staff isn't allowed to see any kind of fanworks, so they probably don't know (or really care) about this existing, and even if they did, they wouldn't be shocked by it. Cupcakes isn't shocking or provocative in any way; it's a terrible fanfiction with a cliched setup and a horrible execution. (Seriously, most of it is just Pinkie cutting up Rainbow while making god-awful organ puns.)

Besides, why would the developers want to focus on that one aspect to her character when there's so many other aspects of it that have yet to be explored? What about the way her mind works, why she thrives on the happiness of others, why fear seems to never conquer her?

I'm pretty sure Lauren or some member of the staff mentioned that they knew about or had read "Cupcakes." (It's more likely that they just heard about the fic, since the production staff deliberately avoids reading fan fiction.) I honestly could not tell you more by way of specifics. I do remember, however, that Ashleigh Ball had watched APPLE.MOV when it first was released in late 2011.

If they know about it, they probably don't think much of it. The staff, and Lauren Faust in particular, are seasoned veterans of the animation industry, and are probably well aware that for every cartoon made, there's going to be more than a handful of fans out there with a pathological need to show the world how 'edgy' and 'shocking' they can be.

That's the official statement, sure, but they can easily get away with reading the ridiculous ones.  No way anything from any of the gorefics ever makes anything even close to an Flash menu, let alone canon.

Besides, everyone knows that Spiderses is the best story ever told.

I have not seen it, don't really want to. I have heard it is kinda like the Saw movies and I despise those films. They are gruesome but with no real point. So, if Cupcakes is anything like that, Lauren and the MLP crew would probably not see the point. I know I don't see it. Depressing and needless violence, not sure what that brings for anyone...except for those with a fetish for violence/blood. I don't even know if it is that bad! This is just speculation on my part.
