"I said we were going to the celebrate! Oh your face is priceless right now." Kaz said with a joyful expression and then looked down at the expensive bottle of wine that Bass had bought. "Oh my... How much did that cost? I've only ever had Chateauneuf-du-trot once. This is more expensive than my bottle..." Kaz frowned a little bit but ultimately, it didn't matter to him. "We'll save your bottle, if that's okay? I've been letting this bottle breathe and I'm not recorking it." Kaz beckoned Bass over by tapping on the space next to him on the couch with his hoof.

 

"Come here, darling. Let's celebrate properly." Kaz lifted the bottle of wine and a purple glow emitted from his horn as he poured a small amount into each glass.

Bass finally recovered from his state of shock, and slowly walked into the candlelit room, magically closing the door behind him. He moved, and sat next to his partner, all of his motions remained slow, and relaxed. Before saying a single word, he just moved and pulled Kaz into a deep kiss. Upon releasing him, he finally spoke, "This is beautiful, babe... You definitely put some thought into this... and it's just... wonderful." Staring into the purple irises across from him, he continued, "I'm not generally those super sappy lovey-dovey ponies... but I can really appreciate this. I love you, babe." When he finished, he planted another kiss on the white stallion.

Pondah took a tentative lick of the ice-cream and instantly recoiled. "Wah!" ​Pondah said with a contorted face, "That's so sweet! How much sugar is in that? Heck, how much not sugar is in that?" 

 

When Bubble replied to Pondah's question about the mysterious guitar noise, he looked in the direction Bubble had pointed her hoof in. "That looks like a likely candidate," Pondah said in agreement with Bubble. He raised his voice to speak to the guitarist in the tree. "That's some skill you've got there!"

Bass finally recovered from his state of shock, and slowly walked into the candlelit room, magically closing the door behind him. He moved, and sat next to his partner, all of his motions remained slow, and relaxed. Before saying a single word, he just moved and pulled Kaz into a deep kiss. They both took a sip each and then gazed at each other, the candles flickering in the somewhat still air of the slightly more spacious apartment. Kaz said with a slight bit of trepidation as he clutched onto the wine glass with his hoof. There was a short moment of silence where neither of them said nothing but continued to just bask in each other's presence with the warm glow of the burning tealights.

Bass broke the silence, with a declaration. "Of course, I plan on living with you!" He almost startled himself with his own enthusiasm, but continued, "It's just I will be getting more equipment over time anyway, and... I dunno, it's just I don't know if this room will be big enough... I mean I don't want to take away too much living space with my stuff... Plus, I could use some place with soundproofed walls and recording booths."

 

He hoped his explanation would pass the white stallion's judgement, and that he would agree. Then, to add to his case, he said with a smile, "You and I can go look for open spaces in town tomorrow, if you want."

Ember wandered aimlessly after leaving the grocers, eating his apples without really tasting them.  I need to stop being so sensitive about my damn horn...  I'm never going to get famous enough to put on a fireworks show for the princesses if I can't even talk about something as sensitive as that...  Eventually the sound of music broke through his thoughts and Ember blinked, looking around.

 

Somehow he had found his way to a park.  He had no idea how he would get back to where he'd already been, but that was alright.  It's not like he had anywhere to be.  Right now all he could focus on was the ice cream stand.  Ember couldn't help but smile, even with his mood.  His sweet tooth ran a good portion of his decisions when tasty desserts were involved.  He quickly ordered an ice cream cone before stepping up to the small crowd gathering around the musician, listening to the sounds of the pegasus' guitar.

"Kaz.... That was absolutely beautiful. You have such an amazing voice... That song.. I.. just.. I love you." He wrapped his hooves around the unicorn in front of him, and just held him there, tightly.

 

"I wish I could sing like that... my music is nowhere near as meaningful as something straight from the heart like that.... and instrumental tracks don't do justice for that kind of meaning either..." He sat there, thinking to himself, a slight tear welling up in his eye. Of course, Kaz probably would think it of joy rather than of incompetence.

Thunder Dash finished playing and looked up. He saw a crowd around him. "Whoa, I didn't know that my playing would attract this many ponies." He said. He then played an encore. After, he noticed a green and black pony in the front of the crowd.

Bubble grinned harder than ever.

 

"Well there's... Ice! Not much sugar in ice... Is there?" She asked rhetorically, before deciding that it was actually a really good question.

It had been a while since Bubble had met anypony new: she glanced at those closest to her and noticed another pony holding an ice-cream. What better common ground was there than live of sweets, after all?

 

"Hi!" She chirped happily without announcing herself. "I'm Bubble, who are you?"

Kaz let his head fall backwards against Bass' shoulder so that his snout rested on his cheek. "Thank you." Kaz whispered as he nuzzled Bass' cheek gently and softly. "I love you too, Bass." he said in a hushed voice.

 

They didn't move at all but just sat there... loving each other being in love with each other. "I don't ever want to move... Let's just stay like this forever." Kaz moved his head to the side so the top of his mane fell into the curvature of his coltfriend's neck.

"As much as I would love to stay like this forever... I really DO need to finish my song.." Bass reluctantly said. Kissing his coltfriend on the cheek, he levitated the glass of wine back down onto the table, still only two drinks out of it. He then stood, and examined the organized equipment on the other side of the room...

 

"Uh.. Where are my EQ routers?" He asked, thoroughly confused by the neatness. "And my synth cables, for that matter...?"

 

He didn't turn to face the stallion, just stood there, in confusion at the equipment.

Ember held his ice-cream in a levitation spell long enough to stamp his hooves at the musician's encore song, focusing hard on not letting the spell fail and wasting his treat.

He took his ice cream safely back into his hoof as he turned to smile at the friendly mare.  "Hi Bubble.  I'm Ember Sparx."  He shuffled a little bit to re-adjust his saddlebags, standing carefully on three legs as he licked at his ice cream.  "I'm new to town, but maybe you saw my fireworks display earlier?"  He gave a hopeful smile, though he already expected that she hadn't.  It had only been a small display earlier, and the few ponies that had seen it had mostly come to investigate.

"Oh no, I must have missed them! I love fireworks!" The mare answered, temporarily disappointed about missing the display.

 

An idea formed. "Oh! Maybe I could buy some sometime?" She suggested happily. "We haven't had fireworks at home for... for years!"

"What's your inspiration for this latest track? I read quite often that it takes a fair amount of... Like... happenings to actually get you going." Kaz said, trying to pry open the safe that is Bass.

Ember beamed happily at the very thought of having a potential customer.  He threw his head back and chomped back his ice cream in one bite, so excited that he wanted the full use of his hooves.  "Buy some?  You can do more than that!  I can make them custom for you, you can design just how you want them!  Best fireworks this side of Fillydelphia, I promise!  Well, that's my motto anyways, I don't know if it's true or not but it's going to be someday!  In fact all of m- AHHHHHH!"  

 

Ember goes from talking as fast as he can to getting a stunned look on his face, bringing a hoof up to his head.  "OW!  B-B-B-Brain freeze!  I shouldn't have eaten all of that in one bite!"  The wiry stallion drops into a sitting position there in the grass, rubbing his head with his front paws.  He looks at Bubble and laughs nervously, an awkward smile on his face.  "S-S-S-S-Sorry!"

"All of your brain freeze? That doesn't make sense!" Bubble said, delighted at the current events. She mimicked his action of devouring the iced treat in one bite, throwing it up into the air and catching it in her mouth. The entire half cone vanished promptly.

 

"What are you sorry about?" She wondered aloud to him with a smile.

Sunny smiled at Candy affectionately. She was glad she was feeling better, and what she said made her heart skip a few beats. 

She gave the mare a kiss and then looped a foreleg around her neck, shifting to stand beside her.

"Hey, remember yesterday in the park, where you agreed to see my art? Since we're already at my apartment, why don't we do just that? i've been looking forward to showing you." she beamed.
