Gizmo turned to look at him, thinking over his questions. He turned forward and looked down the street to whatever was there. "She wants to find someplace peaceful to live and/or make this world a better place. As for me, I don't know. I'd rather find out more about this world that we now live in before making a decision. Strong listened to Gizmo's answer, then shrugged at his question, "Not sure... when we were in the Stable, I felt I had a purpose, even thoughI still wanted out. Now that I am... I dont know what I could do here to help others. I may stick with your plan, see what this world is like, and see where I can fit in. But to be honest, I dont see myself leaving this group, you all are the only ponies that I know, and as of now, trust"...

Gizmo nodded. "Agreed. I'm sure we'll meet others who we're fine with and all that, but as of now, Sigh is the only one who we didn't leave with that I trust, and that's probably simply because Sigh saved us when we were coming out." He looked at the pony in question and then to the walls with the ponies on top.

Strong nodded in agreement, "So how long do you think we will be staying here? This town seems nice enough... we could definitely rest up well here"

"I honestly have no clue. Maybe until it gets overrun or we might leave within the day. We have no goal, no mission, no task... so we really have nowhere to go. Hmm... I wonder if anyone here would have a job or something for us to do so we have something to do instead of just sitting around."

Sigh searched through the drugs that Ditzy had, occasionally asking about a price or the purity of a drug. He thought to himself as he did so. hmm... Yeah, enhancer prices are still going up. Makes sense, there aren't any facilities that can make them anymore. At least, not that I know of. After buying a magic and a physical enhancer (is this okay, auth?), he asked about a specific drug, Dream Leaf. Dismayed to find that Ditzy didn't have any, he thanked her and walked out of the store, just in time to hear Strong and Gizmo discussing the possibility of finding work.

 

"Not to butt in, but yeah, there's usually plenty of available work in places like this. Nothing steady, of course, but little jobs, contracts, that sort of thing. My only recommendation is not to pick something I'd find boring." He shrugged. "That's not a threat or anything, I just hate doing any kind of work unless I need the money, which I don't. But hey, if it's a fun job, I'll do it anyway."

 

(oh, and by the way, Sigh not being able to buy any dream leaf off of ditzy will be significant when he tries to sleep next, so I'd prefer it if there wasn't a timeskip then, at least not until I have Sigh do stuff.)

Autumn walked out of the store and saw Sigh, Strong Hooves, and Gizmo. He walked up to them and asked, "Doesn't it seem strange to you that we haven't seen any other Pegasi besides miss Doo? Before we were locked away in the Stable, Pegasi were just as common as the other races, but I've only seen one so far."

 

(I'm assuming there weren't any Pegasi in the stable. They were probably either fighting in the war or defending Cloudsdale, huh?)

If you decide to have any further exclusively OOC chatter in this thread, I would recommend creating an OOC thread here. If not, then don't exclusively OOC chatter in the thread. (Note: It is okay to make a post that has OOC in it in an RP thread IF your post includes some in-character in it. But just a post full of OOC is spammish and clutters the thread.)

(anyway, I'm out. I know you're the mod here, ary, but I disagree with you coming into a private RP to enforce an unnecessary (IMHO) rule. I can see how a lot of OOC posting could be a problem in a public RP, but this is private, and we all know what we're doing. I was trying to bump the thread with a small joke attached to a small poke at the new system, but apparently that isn't allowed. I apologize.

I suppose I should make a last IC post, so this post is allowed to stay here. Somebody else can take Sigh, he's a pretty major character. I may or may not come back, I dunno. This RP is fun, but I can't stand this system.)

 

Sigh shrugged. "Well, there are a lot of rumors floating around about the pegasi." he leaned in a little closer. "But as far as I know, they're all up in the clouds. They cut themselves off so they wouldn't have to deal with the wasteland." he laughed. "And I can't say I blame them for it. If I had wings, if probably do the same."

 

He looked through his bag again, searching for something he knew wasn't there. He looked at the others with an odd expression. He spoke hesitantly.

 

"hey... If any of you ever come across a drug called Dream Leaf, tell me, okay? It's pretty damn important that I get some soon."

(Sorry to hear that. To tell you the truth, I don't care for the new system either. I agree that OOC posts should be fine in Private threads, but that's just my opinion. Right now I'm waiting to see if the thread picks up soon. I get tired of always having the last word and waiting forever for a new post (it's kind of how my own RPs died.). If it does pick up and Evilshy doesn't return, I could try to takeover Sigh, but I don't know if I'd be able to do him justice.)

One of the ponies heard them say they wanted work and had run to ask around. After some time, he returned. "You guys wanted work, right? Well, I found something for you. Head over to the chef's tent if you're curious about it." He ran off without saying anything else.

 

Gizmo thanked the messenger and put himself in a location that would give him some image of authority. "Well, you heard him. Should we go take it or do you guys want to leave and find somewhere else first?"

"Not sure a chef would have my line if work, but alright, let's go" Strong replied as he stood, chuckling as the smaller unicorn tried to look authoritative as Strong towered over him.

Sigh says, "Sounds kind of tame, but if the pay's good... I could always Flambe." He follows along, looking around at other shops. There has to be some Dream Leaf somewhere.

 

(I'm guessing Dream Leaf is a sleep aid.)

 

(I might bring the Labyrinth back sometime, if I could think of some new challenges. I kind of liked the idea I was going for in the second one, where everyone's fears and traumas shaped the maze. But players dropped out without telling me, and others wouldn't give me their character's fears.)

After arriving at the chef's location, they found out it was not a cooking job. He was a large white unicorn with the cutie mark of a cleaver. "There be large geckos to the north, past them hills. They be taking our water source and whatnot. Oh, and the skin on them. Them for the tanner, but I pay for them."

Still on my mobile, so posting is a pain and it's particularly glitchy on this forum. For this reason I don't wish to use a second ooc thread as it would be a pain to switch back and forth for me.

The butcher frowned. "I already said they be to the north - past a few of them hills. There be a well where we draw fresh water with fewer radiation. The geckos tend stick round it for the water and make it a bit of trouble to get some." He cleared his throat for a moment. "Bring a bit o' ammo with ya. These geckos have mutated a bit and gotten a wee bit bigger over the years and a hella lot more poisonous."

 

Aria caught up with the rest of them after sticking back with Ditzy to try and get a few more medical supplies.. "Poisonous geckos? What are we doing now?"

Strong turned to Aria, "Extermination job apparently, he needs us to get rid of some geckos that are hanging around their water supply... Apparently we need guns to kill geckos..." he then checked his combat shotgun, seeing if he needed to reload first before heading out...

Aria thought for a moment and then nodded. "Geckos - doesn't sound like it could be too bad. Easy money. Let's get to it then."

 

The butcher looked over at Aria. "If it was easy and not dangerous then someone else going to get water would do it lass. Get bitten by one of those fast little buggers and you're as good as dead. Only Candi here in town can keep ya alive after a good bite and most wont make the trip back."
