The situation was not improving, both drake and mare realized that other "special guests" were arriving each one of them had a letter with them for sure all of those letters were destined to them unlike the one the unlikely siblings had with them.

"Ah. You must be one of the mercenaries the princess sent for." She nodded. "Well, welcome to-"

Emi made a slight respectful curtsy to their host while having a confident look on her face "Thats right but Mercenary is such a wide term we like to call ourselves, helping hooves for hire" it was then when the clasps of a heavy armor got to the attention of Colt and Emi.

Brother and sister turned their attention to the red and blue pegasus duo that arrived. As they came closer Colt and Emi were able to feel the "aggression" that sprouted from the armored mare. "That armor that gait, that posture, no doubt she is a part of the guard...we better be careful with those two" the dragon thought, just before his Ideas were interrupted by yet another letter carrier.

 

Hey there, my name is Chivalry Knight, but people just call me Chivalry for short. Whats your name?" 

 

The dragon tried to hide his face from the friendly unicorn covering his face further ore with his hood he didn't had many good experiences at situations like this before because of that Colt remain silent keeping his eyes and face away from Chivalry. "Oh please excuse him he doesn't talks much..." Emi jumped in between the awkward moment. "you see he is very shy by the way his name is Colt and mine its Earth Miracle or Emi for short... so all of you got the message from the Princess " she asked trying to take the attention out of the scaled one. 

 

 

"My name is Commander Iron Wing Celes Grayhoove..."

 

 

"A commander!? oh great she is not going to be easy to get of my neck" the dragon thought while listening to the formal introductions that were made as the group made it into the castle for the dragon was a heavy road to walk even with his eyes focusing on the path and the floor he could felt the dagger eyes from the guards and almost listen to their thoughts against him. Emi slowed her pace to walk at the side of the dragon lowering her head to reach his and whispering "We knew it would be like this, try to not over-think it"  with a sadden pair of eyes the dragon raised his sigh to her sister "Every one of them want to take me down, even the blue one over there... I wonder how many of them had lost something to dragons" Colt whispered back to her. This were soldiers, warriors and guardians he knew it was very likely that most of them had lost a friend below the flames, claws and fangs of his kind..."It really makes e wonder." 

 

Emi understood the ache in his brother and made a soft caress with her head as they walked following their guide.

Chivalry turned his attention to Emi. "I see, it's a shame, I was really hoping to get to know him, it's not really everyday you get to meet a cool looking dragon like him hehe." Chivalry smiles at Emi and turns his attention to Iron Wing and Blazing Storm.

He walks up to them and greets them. "Hey there, My name is Chivalry Knight. However most ponies just call me Chivalry. It's nice to meet you two, whats your names?" Chivalry seemed to be trying to meet and befriend everyone. I mean, at this point, it's not a bad idea.

"Ease up why would I need to ease up I'm fine but by the way it's nice to meet you Selune I'm Blaze Finder but most people call me Blaze do I sound worried cuz I think I sound worried but maybe I am worried I mean after all I'm just an inexperienced pony from Trottingham who will probably die!" Blaz gasped for air, realizing he hadn't taken a breath since he had begun talking to Selune. He panted as his breath came back to him. He tugged at his neck cloth and sighed. "Sorry about that. I think I'm fine now."

"Are uh... you guys here for... whatever it is Celestia wants?"

 

Iron Wing looked at the pegasus who had asked this question. A strongly build and nice looking stallion with friendly eyes and some sort of noble accent. Or was it noble? Iron wasn´t sure about that, but it she thought that it was somehow fitting. "Yes, i was ordered to abort my duties on my watchtower and to come here. I am a bit surprised what her majesty wants from a Grayhoove knight..." she answered. Her family and clan were traditional guardians and warriors also noble knights that always had fulfilled military duty. Most found on the frontlines or to defeat certain beasts within the lands, the Grayhoove Clan was known amongst the military, but not everyone appreciated the capacity of their potential, also because they were a bit more aggressive than other ponies.

 

 

 

"Every one of them want to take me down, even the blue one over there... I wonder how many of them had lost something to dragons" Colt whispered back to her.

 

Iron Wing couldn´t understand a word from the dragon but she could see that he was whispering. Under normal circumstances dragons wouldn´t just walk around like it was nothing special, and Iron Wing would fight them with everything she had got. But it seemed that this dragon was summoned by the princesses for the meeting, so the knightly mare wouldn´t start a fight right here. She was armored from the hoof up to the head, also her wings had armor parts on it. Most of the ponies that were around didn´t have such an armor, not even the guards, and that worried her a bit. If these ponies were gathered for a quest or an adventure, she hoped that at least a couple of them were able to defend themselves.

Again a pony introduced itself, this time a strong looking unicorn and he had directed his attention towards Iron and Blaze. This time the pony would her her full name and she hoped that others would listen aswell. "My name is Iron Wing Celes Grayhoove, Commander of the southern watchtower near Ponyville and knight of the Grayhoove clan." she said towards Chivalry. "I guess that the princess has chosen us because every pony has some sort of specialty. It will be interesting to find out what the talent of the others are..." she added and continued walking. She was alway a bit carefull about new ponies or creatures she met, and she would continue that behaviour until she knew what was going on.

 

 

 

 

I'm Blaze Finder, but Blaze is fine. I guess I'll be working with you and these other ponies right?

 

Blazing turned around, surprised and funky as ever. "Yay, another Blaze!" she said joyful and jumped little circles. "I am Blazing Storm van Hoofenheim, nice to meet´ya! Just call me Blaze, Storm or... or... whatever you want!" she continued and fluttered excited with her wings. "If i had known that there was a male me, a cool tattoo mare unicorn and a beautiful pegasus accompanied with a cool dragon, i would have brought my camera!" she giggled and continued to jump circles around Blaze Finder and Iron Wing. Or course she could have acted normaly but right know this was too excited. "I can sense that this will be a great novel! I wanna know more!"

 

 

 

"Hey there, My name is Chivalry Knight. However most ponies just call me Chivalry. It's nice to meet you two, whats your names?" Chivalry seemed to be trying to meet and befriend everyone.

 

Blaze immediatly raced towards Chivalry and shook his hoove. "Hai! I´m Blazing Storm, and this grumpy blue mare is Iron Wing. Nice to meet ya!" she said, then going a bit closer to him. "She isn´t always like that..." she whispered to him and grinned. It was true, she knew the blue pegasus since their fillyhood and normaly Iron would be more friendly. But it seemed like she was again too proud for some friendly words. "So, what´s in your letter? Do you have already a task or something, or do you just know as much as we know?" she continued then. Informations were very important and as a novel writer who had written -Hoove Horror- , -The cloud tales- and romantic stories like -My honey pony- , she knew that it would be very significant to know as much as possible. Everypony that liked to talk was very welcome, so she looked around if the other ponies wanted to say something too.

"Can I have everyone's attention, I'm going to make notes of everybody here and their medical status" He indicates to his notebook "So if anybody has a medical condition that I need to be aware of, inform me now please"

While Blazing was busy with talking to other ponies, Iron Wing heared one of the ponies ask for their medical conditions. She turned around and looked at the pony. "Well, i don´t have a serious medical condition, but since i have a high metabolism rate, so has Blazing. If we get poisoned it would effect us faster than other ponies. Also Blazing has a very strange medical condition... or i believe it´s a medical condition. Caffeine or other energy giving substance will make her tired, and every tiresome action like... um... eating too much or something like that won´t make her worn out, instead they are making her hyper..." she explained. She knew Blazing for a long time now and that was one of the strangest and funniest things she knew about her friend.

As you enter the throne room, you see a weary Celestia awaiting you. Next to her are two guards, a blue pony with cybernetics around his head that Selune recognized as Karmatic Justice, and a rather large map with marks on it. When she saw that everyone had entered, she smiled weakly. "Hello. I am sorry to disturb you today, but I fear we have a desperate matter to deal with." She sighed. "It seems that there have been large amounts of demonic activity all across Equestria. While some activity is always going on, as demons are always up to some scheme or after some petty revenge, we have never ha this much for centuries." She sighed. "We think thatthis isn't a coincidence. Something's trying to get out of Tartarus- something big. Almost all of Equestria has fallen under the curse of one of the seven greater demon lords, and, from the reports that I'm getting, it's only getting worse." She sighed. "I have already sent out Princess Twilight with her friends, as well as a specialist group of Guard known as the demontouched, but I find myself severely outnumbered, and I am loathe to send the Guard en masse to deal with this threat." She paused. "Alright. The first place that needs to be dealt with is Manehattan. It is a large city on the northeastern coast, taken over by a greater demon lord named Silthril. Specializing in decieving others, and, for this reason, was cursed with a half-snake form when he was initially banished to Tartarus."

 

Karma frowned. "Yes. From reports I've heard, he's been 'blessing' the faithful of his cult with a snakelike form. To keep the cult funded for the poison and supplies that they need for their ritual, they've been running an assassination guild undercover in the depths of the city. They're plotting to, once the greater demon lord has fully arrived, to assassinate the mayor and to take over the city for their own purposes."

 

Celestia nodded and turned back to the others. "Meet with an inquisitor named Moon Crypt. He is currently HQ'd in a small apartment on 8662 Victory Road, apartment C. He is also a changeling, so do not expect for him to be in a set form, especially since he needs to stay undercover. He can give you a place to sleep, recover, as well as guide you on how to get rid of this threat." She inclined her head to you and smiled. "Are there any questions before we begin?"

 

Karma's frown deepened as he examined the others. "Celestia... did you invite a dragon?"

 

She looked at Colt, as though appraising him, and half-smiled. "... No. But," She said, cutting off a comment from Karma, "I think that he has several qualities that will make him an asset to our cause. And, since he's here, he must obviously wish to help."

 

"But, Your Highness..."

 

She gave him a look. "I though you were supposed to be just. Is justice prejudiced?"

 

He opened his mouth and then closed it again slowly, before looking away, somewhat ashamed.

"Excuse me but... How will we be getting there? Won't we attract attention if we all just barge-in Manehatten? Is it not wiser that we go concealed to acquire the element of surprise? I could help you with that if you wish, i... i am an illusionist." she says offering a hoof to solve the problem.

The commander raised one eyebrow and looked at Celestia with a serious but curious face expression. "Yes your majesty, i have several questons indeed. How come that the local defense forces have failed to prevent such an invasion?" she asked concerned about the soldiers and guardians that could have fallen by the attempt to secure the cities. "So you decided to create something like a special task force, meaning us, to defeat certain targets to enable the defeat of the demons... why us?" she continued, now very interested in the possible answer. Celestia, the ruler of Equestria surely had a made a choice, but it feeled too rushed. She didn´t even know the other ponies, their abilities or why even Iron by herself was qualified enough for a task like that. Of course, she was a military officer, but she never met Celestia in person. How could she have chosen her? "Despite my questions i have asked, of course i will fulfill my duty..." she added.

 

 

Blaze was more amused about the fact that demons had invaded the country and she had no doubt that this group, or any group in the world would defeat such vile beings. But the question Iron had asked was interesting for her too. Her job was a teacher and a novel writer in the main time. Of course she was athletic and she could reach very high top speeds, also the tornado manipulation was one of her specialities, but it didn´t explain how the princess had chosen her, a teacher, to defeat demons...

 

But her other more wilder side of her personality didn´t even care. Adventures, demons, ponies in danger! Of course she would do everything necessary to help, and if the princess said that she was part of this group, than she would do everything to be helpfull. She didn´t like her special talent, but on emergency, she would use it.

However, just in case, I believe that Inquisitor Karma had something in mind to get you there, but I'm sure that he could certainly use the help." Karma nodded once in the direction of the others.

Blaze sat in silence. Just as he had grown control of himself he heard the whole thing about demons. Demons!? What can I do against demons! I don't have any magic or military training or anything for that matter! I can't just have everyone stop in the middle of a battle so I can build something. Ugh I'm going to be so useless in this group. Blaze sighed. He definitely wasn't prepared for this.

Acheron chuckled to himself as he heard Celestia mention the demon lords. Now he was quite certain that this journey wouldn't be a waste.

 

"More dark knowledge to gain, I'm quite certain these demonic beings will have power I have only read about in the tomes of the dark realms..."

 

Acheron cleared his throat and spoke to Celestia.

 

"I trust then that you at least have an idea of the extent of my magic and knowledge. Therefore, should I have to worry about sticking to certain guidelines in how we deal with these demons? Or can I go about it my own special way? Afterall, I probably have more skill in dealing with such entities, moreso than even this elite group called the Demontouched."

 

Acheron said these words with a tone of arrogance, making sure that none would question his skills or methods of magic...

Blitz followed behind everypony into the throne room. Demons? Crap, this just keeps getting weirder and weirder.She walked closer to the front of the group. "Um, 'contact with a special item'? What exactly is that supposed mean?" Blitz said cautiously.

@@Blitz, Celestia smiled. "Moon Crypt will explain it to you when you arrive. I think he's managed to get his hooves on one, yes?"

 

Karma grunted. "Three, actually."

 

@, Celestia smiled. "Oh, trust me. I don't think you've been fighting demons for millennium. Though it's good to know that you are skilled in destroying demons. And as long as you don't harm any innocents or destroy the town... I feel like you can be trusted to do it your own way."

 

((Waiting for Colt to post his reaction, and then we will move along.))

The hall as majestic the marble and ivory of the walls, columns and floor made any luxury in Equestria to pale, all was crowned and decorated with golden and silver details that reflected the colorful beams of light that shined in the hall through the stained glass art of the windows.    

 

Emi and Colt were shocked at the sight of the place but all of that was whipped the moment the dragon and pegasus placed found the sun herself just before them. Colt froze in place and Emi bowed at her sight and both listened to the ruler of Equestria

 

After the "briefing"  Colt felt the itch to raise his eyes to meet the Alicorn once more. As he did his eyes met hers and a warm shiver kind as the light of a sumer afternoon ran down his body. Her violet eyes felt like looking into him he was unable to resist this and once again faced away hiding behind his hood.

 

 

 

"Excuse me but... How will we be getting there? Won't we attract attention if we all just barge-in Manehatten? Is it not wiser that we go concealed to acquire the element of surprise? I could help you with that if you wish, i... i am an illusionist."

Emi listened to the "casual chat"  the other ponies were having with Celestia, just as the dragon did. The mare was thinking and trying to understand the situation they were into. "She has been looking for aid... she knows that we were not called by her yet she has not say a thing... and now included us into this ordeal, at least her words did so". In his stupor Colt had the same understanding. 

 

 

 

"...abandon this endeavor so that me and my sister may begin reinforcing the magic that holds Tartarus closed."

 

This statement shook the dragon this was not a preventive movement from the Royal Sisters. The voice of the dragon made it out of his mouth "...You mean the seal is down? " Colt asked with a look on his face that was an example of his concern over this matter he knew of this barrier he learnt from it long ago. "...im sorry your Majesty I didn't meant to interrupt" the dragon said realizing how rude his actions were.

"Wait, wait wait hold on a minute. So what your saying, is that were going to become... Superheroes?" Chivalry was Imagining in his head, everyone in costumes with powers defeating monsters in a big city. "Hey, I'm okay with this, just don't make me where some silly costume, unless it looks cool." Chivalry laughed, and smiled.

Blaze looked quizzically at Chivalry. How can he say that so casually? Well then again he's a unicorn, so he has a defense. I better get armor or something cuz there's nothing useful I can provide to this group. I'm gonna have to talk to this dragon some time soon. he's too interesting to ignore. Hopefully he doesn't find me weird by asking about dragons.

Celestia smiled as there seemed to be no more incoming questions. "Alright then. Now that we're done with that, I guess we can move on, yes? If I could ask you to go with Karma..." Karma stood up and bowed slightly, before moving along, taking the others with him.

You arrive at a large glass building close to the castle. After inviting you inside, he smiled. "How this will work... we have Inquisition headquarters stationed throughout all of Equestria. This is the main one, of course, but they are all connected through magic." He smiled. "Alright all. If you don't have armor, weapons, supplies, whatever, now is the time to request it. One at a time, please, though."

"This is a list of medical equipment I need. Things such as; morphine, bandages and ect... It's pretty simple stuff"

Blaze thought for a moment. What he even be able to contribute? "I guess I'll also have some lightweight armor... Maybe fire starters although I already have flint and steel. I'm not really sure. I can tell I won't be fighting but I also can't really contribute... Oh how about chemicals? I can most likely do something with those."

Blitz thought for a second. Well, I can't necessarily do a ton of fighting considering I don't have magic or anything... But still I guess there are those 'snake ponies' that I could probably help a little with... She raised her hoof. "Um, I guess some armor and maybe... I dunno... Knives of something like that? Basically something that would be easy to fly with I guess."

'hmm, i wonder if i should attempt this or not. it's quite dangerous but this skill might come in handy.' Chivalry thought to himself. "Hey, Id'e like to acquire 2 knights swords please. Both with locking holsters and straps." Chivalry thought more to himself. 'With these two extra swords, along with my current Killik knight sword... This should be good.'
