Mr. Changeling 132 August 5, 2013 Share August 5, 2013 The reason I ask this is because I play bass guitar, and I am lookimg for somebody who I can trade ideas with and possibly make a song (we could record ideas and send them through pm, and once we selected an idea, Icould write the bass and (blank) could write the guitar. I know somebody who is the drummer. Plus, I am looking for somebody to discuss music with as well. Credit

What kind of music are you thinking about doing? most of the tunes I have made so far have been rock oriented, and I ussually play songs by rush. How about you? What songs do you play and what type of music do you plan on playing? Credit

Leavinh 313 August 5, 2013 Share August 5, 2013 Lately I've been writing music that's kind of a combination of Synthpop, Punk, and Hard Rock (my two favorite bands at the moment are the Dead Kennedys and the Epoxies). But I enjoy and I am able to play a little bit of everything. Here's some of the songs I've recorded, I apologize for the mixing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gn4d9SATDMc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgoU4nS4A7E
akalink 163 August 5, 2013 Share August 5, 2013 I do play guitar, but I don't have it with me right now. The intonation is out anyway so I would need to get that fixed before I do any recording on it. Guitar is far from my best instrument though. Trust me its worth it, I got so much mileage out of a m-audio fast track and a casio keyboard. If you can get one that has phantom power. Getting an interface will lower latency and allow you to use any microphone you want without having to find a usb version of the microphone that often times don't allow you to change the amount of gain. Right now i just play a reverse thunderbird, eventually i hope to get a rickenbacker 4003. you know, when i have like 2000$ just to spend on something. 1 anyone can become an artist, but a true masterpiece can only come from someone who is truly in touch with spirit and mind

Clockwork Chaos 219 August 5, 2013 Share August 5, 2013 I've played Electric Bass for 10 years, does that count? i play an Ibanez GSR-205 (the 5 string one) i usually play stuff like Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Dethklok, Rush, Dream Theater... and so on- i more lean towards playing Progressive/Metal than anything else, mainly because it's just more fun than any other genre

Dreambiscuit 12,662 May 3, 2019 Share May 3, 2019 Nope, I can’t play any instrument unless making farting noises with my armpits counts. I don’t think I’ll be booking any major concerts anytime soon.

Messy Mane 9,034 May 4, 2019 Share May 4, 2019 I play Guitar both Electric and Acoustic. I play on my Jackson Electric most of the time because I prefer Hard Rock and Metal.Started playing around a year ago and so far only know all the basic open chords, power chords and bar chords, alternate tunings, how to change my strings, effects pedals,etc...I unfortunately only know a few riffs and songs by heart so I am not exactly the best. Still haven't learned any cool licks, solos,or techniques due to having no time to teach myself.Thank goodness YouTube exists tho without it i'd probably still be wondering what the pentatonic scale is.
