The topic of this thread is all in the title.

 

I searched Saturday Night Live, and was surprised to know, there wasn't an SNL thread. So, I agree that its glory will stay in the 90's. But I still find it a creative and hilarious show ro this day!!! So, post you're thoughts on SNL and if you think its gotten better/worse.

it never aired here in the netherlands, basically because a lot of the jokes have only meaning to amerikans. 

still, everything that i watched about it seemed pretty damn funny.

It's definity got worse but it's still great to watch, cause i got a fever and the only prescription is more pony, i mean cowbell. But seriously how can you cotend against the old school cast, pick which old class you like Belushi, dan akroyd steve martin, or maybe Chris Farley Adam Sandler, Norm McDonald Will Ferrill years, or the newer cast they all have their grwat shows

the only relation i have to sataurday night live is andy kaufman

it doesn't air in norway

but i think we have a kinda similiar show in norway, it's called "torsdag kveld fra nydalen" (thursday night from nydalen) 

it's so bad that it's embarasing, yet everyone seems to love it!

I don't really watch it that often, but if there's nothing else on, I might. While not every sketch appeals to me, my personal favorites are "What Up With That", "The Barry Gibb Talk Show", and...

Saturday Night Live is a weekend tradition before I start work. Although some shows are utter crap and not funny some are hilarious! Seth McFarlane's appearence had me reaching for the inhaler. However the best segment of the show has to be Weekend Update or whenever they do 'Whats Up With That' 'J-Pop America Fun Time Now.'

If only it were still the 90s then it would be good. SNL now is bad to the point of being unfunny at least 90% of the time.

 

90s SNL though was the bomb.

I used to watch SNL but it started going way down hill so I got out of the habit. I like the older casts (especially if you go way back to the ‘80s), but even then, the show was always too long and never had enough good material to fill it up, so a lot of it fell flat. To be honest I can’t really offer an opinion of the show in its modern incarnation; I haven’t watched a new episode in forever.
