I have Avast as well. I've been using both of them just to keep myself extra safe.

 

 I'm not too worried. I don't get Viruses often since I stick to mostly safe sites, don't download anything, and have Adblock on at all times now. Plus, I'll still have the free version of Malwarebytes, which is pretty good even if it doesn't have all the stuff premium has.

You should also understand that compare to what there knowledge is, they see yours as something a lot better. Thus they think you're a computer genius.

I think I'm pretty good with PC basics, but I couldn't take it apart and put it back together again. At least I don't think it would be very safe if I actually did.

Yeah my parents don't know a lot about computers either. My Mom isn't a very trusting person and a lot of times doesn't trust others on the Internet unless it's on facebook or something. She thinks you all can freakin' send me viruses and hack into my computer XD

Computers these days are actually pretty easy to break down and put back up. If you're using something like a desktop computer. You would have to get some canned air and clean out the dust. I thought I couldn't do it myself but this last year I added a Graphics Card to my old desktop and this year I've made my own computer. It's becoming easier and easier to make or upgrade computers.

 

Laptops on the under hand...
