I used love drawing, but I haven't done it consistently for years. I'd love to get back into it though. Not just drawing Ponies, but stuff like Pokemon too. I suppose practice makes perfect, but it's difficult when I terrible to draw right now xD

First you get an idea, then sketch with pencil, ink with pen, scan into the computer, clean up the lineart, and color away!! XD

You make it sound so easy   By lineart do you mean vector kind of lines? Sorry, I'm a bit of a noob at this kind of stuff.

Nah, I don't use vector stuff much. I just ink with pen and once I get it into Photoshop, I mess with the levels feature to make the blank spaces more white, and the lines more dark. Then I just use a brush tool to clean up and other bumps or imperfections in the lines.

Oh ok, sounds good. Might give something like this a go, thanks for the tips I've tried drawing with a graphics tablet before but they're so difficult to get used to.
