I have a brother (more on that never). He is a console peasant, trying to convince me that consoles are better than PCs. They have their perks (size and more people are still gaming on consoles....and....well...that's really about it....I'd say quietness, but ever since I put my new Noctua cooler in my PC, it's pretty dang quiet), but I will never fall from the master race! True Nords PC gamers never back down!

 

Now, I do have a PS4 controller as I think I've mentioned before. I wanted a wireless controller for my PC and I looked into what people were saying about the various gamepads out there. So I picked up a PS4 gamepad. It's a really nice gamepad and it feels good to hold. I still prefer the staggered sticks of the Xbox controller but the touchpad can double as your mouse and it's pretty awesome. 

 

So I sent him a text last night saying, "Dude...who needs a flashlight when you've got your PS4 controller?" 

"YOU GOT ONE!!!!!!!!"

"A PS4 controller? Yeah!" "It's a nice controller."

 

I think he got reeeeeeally excited and then reeeeeeeally disappointed.

 

I might get a PS4 if there's something he and I desperately need to play, but I've already spent about $900 on PC parts in the last few weeks so I do not need to go blow another $400 on a POS console (and the PS4 is the best console out there, but it's still potato grade crap compared to my PC even with its current hardware)

Wow, your cousin brother (Damn Freudian slips ) just got master race'd hard...

 

The only compelling thing about keeping my PS3, let alone buying a PS4 , is the exclusives (Gran Turismo, Uncharted, God of War), and the friends appeal.

 

We already have a Wii, so I suppose that's a better medium for multiplayer w/ friends, but for the exclusives, eh, not honestly sure...

 

Speaking of console peasants...

Yeah. Gran Turismo 6 may be why I keep my PS3 around a little while longer. But I'm thinking I'm going to sell my PS3 games in the near future. I have all of them on PC...so I'm never going to play them there again. Borderlands 2 was awesome but my brother doesn't have his PS3 anymore. He gave it to his girlfriend so she could watch Netflix with it (that's probably the only thing they're useful for these days lol). My PS3 just collects dust right next to my Wii while my PC gets all the attention. 

 

By the way, brother. Not cousin lol I would have preferred he was a cousin so I didn't have to deal with his ass all of his life

Oh and I thought he meant MIB....as in Men in Black.

 

I was like, "Someone made a Men in Black game? There hasn't been a movie in a long time!" XD

 

Then I realized it was MLB. Because this asshat doesn't know what grammar is.

 

You know who plays sports games? Dudebros. They're good for multiplayer messing around, but if you just play them to pass time alone, you're not doing it right. 

 

I mod the shit out of my Skyrim to pass time. That is how you game.

Yeah, realized that quickly. But yeah, I know that feel, really hard to convert my two other bros to the PCMR, and one of them is living in our house everyday...

And to think, I haven't even turned on my PS3 since like January of 2013, 2 years and 4 months ago today.

 

Though, to be fair, I did "turn it on" back in December 2013 to try and play it in our brand new HDTV, but then again, right after I pushed the power button, it did that distinctive beep, light indicated LED turns green as usual, then after a second, it turned off instantly without the LED showing standby red.

I suppose that's kind of a blessing for me, since if that thing did boot up on that very day, I should've been still brainwashed in peasantry and probably would've gotten a PS4 by this time...
