I think it's quite hilarious that we have so many people here in the south saying, "This is America! We speak English!" and "I will not adapt my language to that of an illegal alien!" when really, the Americans (mostly of European descent) are the real immigrants. The mainland of the US had hundreds, if not thousands, of languages prior to the existence of the US. I don't know why people are so standoffish with immigrants when this is a country made up almost entirely of immigrants. 

 

I'm part Hawaiian, part French. No native heritage in me whatsoever. 

Also, I think this is my new favorite channel on YouTube. 

 

 

This was really interesting and somewhat eye opening as I learned a few things I didn't know.

tough one thing i noticed is that when they talk about coca-cola and the picture of the coca cola billboard with some words underneath comes on, that's actually Dutch instead of German!

You know, behind my silly exterior I'm actually very intellectual.

 

I love to learn. I love to read. I'm a very slow reader, but I enjoy it. I don't normally do fiction, though, because if I can't learn something from a book, I'm not very interested in it. As a child, I was always interested in nonfiction and even reference books. It wasn't uncommon to see my 9-year-old self reading a dictionary or encyclopedia for fun. 

Also, I was pretty blown away by the Fanta thing.

Speaking of Dave, Raritas, did you know that in 1992, when Nirvana was playing on the set of Saturday Night Live, Kurt, Krist, and Dave started making out on stage after their show during the credits?

 

In future airings of that show, NBC has replaced that scene with shots of the audience and a few other scenes of the stage that do not show it.

I guess I don't fit in entirely with the statistics he was mentioning earlier. Within the last 12 months, I have been in a serious relationship (though not within the last 6) and I don't live with my parents. I pay my own bills and shit lol
