I was beginning to get worried that AMD had a 32 core processor in the works for a while. But it's nice to see they have seen that increasing core counts doesn't make a better CPU. Especially when a 4 core Intel CPU is performing in the same level as an 8 core AMD CPU.

 

Now they also need to keep in mind that 6 GHz will also not be the answer when every i7 at 3.5 - 4.0 GHz is beating any offering by AMD handily.

AMD doesn't have to be second best. They can do K7 all over again.
