I don't have a megabit speed handy, but if I recall, 1 MB = 8 Mb.

I have a browser addon that toggles off images with the push of a button, but it doesn't usually take any longer than ten seconds for an image-saturated page to load, like the previous one.

I'm also using Wifi, if that's relevant. I don't know if it is with 54Mbps Wireless G, though.

It's not the newest, but that's much higher than 8Mbps.

I got the rock bottom plan and it's fast enough for a single person. Seriously. I have no need for the next plan up, which is 50 Mbits/s. Plus, that plan is $75 a month. Honestly, I'll pass. 

 

In 2010, I was at about 1 Mbit/s. My parents had really slow internet for what felt like forever.

I used to do math when I got grounded to pass the time. My parents always told me I was impossible to ground because I can be entertained by literally anything.
