It also has downsides... imagine an EMP explode, all electronic devices are dead... then I am useless... worthless...

and all the sitting and staring at monitors results in health problems... not now... but someday...

But none of that EMP business will occur anyway, and even if it did, you are talented in many more fields than just computing. Don't ever think you are not worth much, because you're wrong.

 

You have friends, you are intelligent, kind, talented. And that beats some 13 year old with the ability to cycle far or run around a silly strip of tarmac at reasonable speed. Just because I'm able to do that won't make me a great person with hope and a decent future ahead of me, you need far more than that, I can tell you.

 

And don't think I'm not telling the truth here, as why else would I spend 20 minutes typing this?

 

Just don't let me hear you use those two words again, as it hurts me the most that you'd think that about yourself.

Well, honestly?

 

Sitting here, 3 hours away from turning 18, thinking where the fuck time has gone and what I'm supposed to be doing with myself right now. It's really kinda scary...
