Yeah well if you directly convert it 700Β£ ~ 750€, but a Laptop priced at 700Β£ comes out at around 900€... not sure what magic they work there, but hey

I forgot I took the RAM stick out of this laptop. It has 2 gigs onboard and a slot for another DIMM.Β 

That would explain why it lags. Thing is it lags on Linux WAY less than it was lagging on Windows. Goes to show how lightweight even the full versions of these distros can be. :3

I can't remember the first pc I had. If it was a Win98 or XP machine. I did remember being more familiar with 98 than XP andseeing the new start menu for the first time and going "TF IS THIS SHIT?" :lol:

417495 - Can't recall the exact spec of my first PC (it was a 286, so had a switch on the back to SLOW IT DOWN so that software for the original pc would run properly; years later, pc cases still had a "turbo" button to confuse kids :))

First actual computer though was the ZX81 - one kilobyte of ram, and loaded/saved programs from audio tape :)
