Yeah I see your point a lot of high expectations down there, strict too. Makes sense though get high grades and get into a good college/university to get a good job in the end. I didn't go down that path   but still have a good paying job none the less.

A lot of jobs here aren't that high paying here in the Philippines, even for top of the line ones. Add that with the pretty high taxation that goes nowhere but the politician's pockets. That's why my family wants me to graduate from a top university, and find a job abroad like how my dad and one of my brothers did.

 

But then again, I just want to go simple and find a job or start some service related to my interest in computers, which is pretty high paying especially with how thriving the sales of IT-related devices are here.
