I thought it was pretty good the concept or what I figure the concept to be is nothing new but at the same time means they have the option to evolve beyond it and add some original ideas in, the VFX I though were pretty cool when the alien shoots at the sniper was a pretty cool shot. Quite interested in what direction they are going to go in with it.

Someone described it as a cross between E.T. and Super 8.  Though when I first saw an image on the alien, I thought it was going to be an Iron Man thing. 

 

Also I think it was just a short, not a trailer or a preview, so I think that's it.  I'm pretty sure they're not going to make a full length video.  That's all there is.

So how does vectoring differ from drawing digitally.  That verb has always confused me.

To be short, vector graphics rely on geometric stuff like lines, curves and the like to make up an image. It is technically part of digital drawing, but the main difference between vectors and "traditional" digital drawings is that it does not have pixels as long as you have the source file. You can export it to any size at your will with 0% image quality hit.

Thanks for the lesson but I already knew that.  Pixelated images are called "raster" images. 

 

But when you say "vectoring," does it just mean you're drawing vector images instead of raster?  Or is the drawing process significantly different? 

 

I'm just wondering since you guys keep saying you're "vectoring."  Are guys just "drawing" and trying to sound cool?  :okiedokielokie:
