Too bad my mom barred me from the show as a child because it was "so scary it will turn me into a criminal". Even up to this date, as a 14 year, 7 month and 2 day old teen is that ban effective. Yet I could watch much more mature stuff like The Big Bang Theory right now. :okiedokielokie:

At least lately I am sneakingly watching it from a conveniently-placed computer crawl space.

If my computer would properly work in the first place, I wouldn't be in this position.

I do understand the reason why it was banned as a kid, because, well, I was a kid, and my parents thought I was not ready for the surreal cartoon violence the show has, but what's sad is that I am still not allowed to watch it even as a teenager, the time when a human transfers from childhood to adulthood, the latter which is the mature state of a human being for crying out loud, and the show's actually geared towards (older, 5+ I suppose) kids, so I can't see why am I not yet ready to watch it. As I said above, they have no problem with me watching Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother (at least for my present self), which are miles more mature than a cartoon show full of unrealistic cartoon violence, yet they have a problem with the latter.

Filipino parents. :okiedokielokie:

I might've gone overboard with repetition. If I did, that's just me being ranty and all that stuff. :derp:

I'd say on a technical level Courage is actually probably more mature than both those shows. In some of the more serious episodes it has some surprisingly deep stuff going on.

It's less "Adult" though, in that it's suitable for kids...Mostly.

I don't think the show was bad for kids at all, I watched it growing up with no problems. It's still one of my favorite cartoons of all time, second only to MLP. I think people just underestimate kids a lot more than they should.

But you should definitely be able to watch it now, that's just ridiculous.

Goodness filly. If your parents knew of the kinds of things I watched and listened to at 14, they'd think I'm the devil incarnate
