I've been able to survive with lower-end computers for about five years, ever since I owned a computer. (I also haven't used Windows for a while; the memory requirements may be higher for Windows 8 than my GNU/Linux operating system.)

 

Of course, that's just what worked for me. You may love having a high-end computer.
