I've always tried to be nice to other people. When I was in the first grade, I used to tell my teachers they were pretty I had to quit that when I got older because it would get creepy. But my first grade teacher even wrote on my report card in 1998 (yes, amazingly, I still have my 1998 report card), "Kalin is a very sweet little boy..." My grades were also not very good and she wrote, "...however, his grades aren't very good because of tardies and absences." I had an A, and a couple B's, C's, and a D. I didn't fail anything so they passed me. But my biological parents didn't really put an emphasis on my education and I never learned to make it important. My foster mom pretty much dragged me through my first two years of college. I had to fight through my last two years on my own. I wanted good grades because I like winning. But I didn't want to do the work it took to get good grades. I guess the former desire won over the latter because I still graduated Cum Laude. I probably could have been Summa Cum Laude if I would have just studied more and actually gave half a crap about school while there.
