I just don't like Reality. I'm whiny, and selfish, and I have a hard time dealing with things, and I hate improvement, and putting in effort makes me feel worse, and blah, blah.

I agree. Reality sucks. But I've always told myself to suck it up and do the best I can with what I have. I've had to do it my whole life to trudge through the trenches that represent the lowest parts of my life and of who I am. And if I had it my way, I would have everything taken care of and I would just chill athome and game and never go out. But that's just not feasible. I like hanging here and gaming and such so I need to face reality. 

 

Adulting sucks.

What's the point? It's always the same stupid things. "Life is difficult, life is hard, life is no fun..."

 

 And yet everyone just keeps doing. They hate it, and then they keep doing it. Over and over and over until they die and there's no rhyme or reason.

If you find something you like doing and you're paid pretty well for it, it's harder to be upset about your life. Of course, getting there isn't always easy...To be where I am now, I would have had to go to college. There's no way I would have been in school if I never had been taken in as a foster child. 

If that one detail of my life had been different...if that one event had never occurred, I could be on the streets selling drugs, working a slave job, or in jail. 

I honestly have no room to say my life sucks.

I mean, someone like Filly could turn his passion for computers into a business one day where he builds custom PC's for people. That might even be a sustainable venture. I would love to fix computers for a living lol

I have literally infinite free time, and already I feel like I don't have enough for all the things I want to do. Which isn't even that much.

 

 I honestly don't want more things to do. I don't want more things to take up time. The problem with giving me solutions, is that more often than not I look at them and immediately find things I just don't like, things that make me feel it's not worth it at all.

 

I like my hobbies. I like just playing my games, and counting here, and watching ponies, and RP'ing with Rising, and just doing my current stuff, I'm going to have to get a job soon, and do other things that will make me so much more busy. I don't want other things to make me even more busy on top of that...

It's all a part of growing up. And you learn to adapt. I like my job, but it's still my job. They don't call it fun. I don't ever wake up and think to myself, "Okay, gotta get ready for fun!" No, it's more like, "Ugh.....it's 6:00...I'll just roll around in bed for an hour and a half before I start getting ready for work." Like I said, if I could have it my way, I would play games, count here, watch ponies, etc all day long and never leave. But I'm totally on my own now. I love the unparalleled freedom. But if I want to keep doing the things I want to do, I have to do the things I need to do. Any other option is out of the question. I want to keep doing the things I like to do? I have to pay my electricity, rent, car payment, credit card payment, gas bill, car insurance, phone bill, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, retirement, and all that stuff I don't want to pay for but need to. Those things make my being here possible. And I like hanging here a lot more than not being able to hang here. And so I go to my job every day even when I don't want to. 

 

I mean, I hate to be blunt about it, but sometimes you've got to put on your big girl panties and suck it up. Just because you have to get a job and such doesn't mean you'll be unhappy. You choose to be what you want to be - be it happy or not. You have control over your mood. People can influence it but you're the one in control of it at the end of the day. 

Anyway, I have to go to bed now or I'll be the office zombie tomorrow.

What can I say to this? It's the same argument I've heard all my life. It's the same argument that haunts my thoughts. It's the same argument that makes me feel like a terrible person every time I hear it. It's the same argument that makes me want to try even less, and yet somehow makes me feel bad about it. It's the same argument that's convinced me I can't be happy, even when people say I can.

 

 What do I say to this?

I'm sorry. I wish there was something I could say to make it better, but there is no sugarcoating something like this. To sugarcoat it would be the greater evil. The truth isn't always nice. 

 

You don't say. You just do. 

 

I don't think you're a bad person. I think you just need some direction.

I don't want sugarcoating anyway. There'd be no point to it.

 

 It's just there's never any advice or statement that really gives me hope. It's just the same statements that always make me feel worse. Maybe that's how I think, maybe that's how I work.

 

 I'm resentful because I never asked for this. I never asked to be born. Other people have it so much worse, I get it. I don't think they ever asked for it either.

I don't even know why I bother talking about this stuff anymore. I'm probably going to feel better tomorrow, and then I'm going to remember this crap, and I'll feel a bit bad. People will either read it and think I'm whiny and annoying, or if they like me they'll think that and then also be worried about me and how I feel, which is even worse. Maybe I just like attention, or something...

WOO! I made it to the top ten leaderboard of Agario!! If you happened to be playing about half an hour ago and saw "Purple Guy >:D" in the ninth and tenth spots, that was me :3 For one instant I was 8th but quite literally an instant later I was 9th again. XD

Then I accidentally split into four pieces and before I realized I'd done so someone ate most of me. After floating around with just 300 mass for a while I just decided to run into a virus cell on purpose and feed myself to someone, lol.
