I dunno. I basically spoke English as my primary language ever since I was a kid (I do speak Fillypino to, especially, strangers though. Albeit in a fairly broken form, which I somehow find less awkward than speaking English to them, which virtually everyone indaPilipins would perfectly understand anyway ) and since English is also considered an official language here, thus is taught as a major subject, it just somehow developed more than my Fillypino did.
