Sometimes I wonder if these people who say that stuff even pay attention to what they're watching. If they can't tell the clear difference between MLP and something like say "Breadwinners" *Shivers" then I'm sincerely worried.

But then the problem comes from people who like the show too. I've even heard someone who is a brony say they liked the show for being mindless entertainment.

 

 That's entirely the wrong reason to like this show, and it doesn't make sense because if you think it's mindless then why do you like it? And how did you even reach that conclusion if you were paying attention to it?

The way I see it, MLP was intended for a family audience.

 

Though I quite like the silly nonsense that goes on in some shows that people claim have no thought put into it.

Each to their own I suppose, everyone has a different preference.
