 That was probably one of my favorites.

@Base: I guess why it's not a favorite among us is because of the 'misleading' title. It refers to the Equestria Games, but focuses on Spike more than the games itself. Could've been 'The Spikelympics' if they want better reception...

 

Other than that, still one of my favorites of S4, and my second fav Spike episode behind 'Secret of My Excess'...

Well base, most don't like it because it used a event with 2 seasons of build up as a backdrop.

 

As a spike episode (without including the games) it was a solid 8/10

But what could they have done with the games to make it interesting? Show us a bunch of sporting events? The only main characters that were competing were Rainbow and Fluttershy and I can't think of much they could do other than show us the sports and explain them.

Well I suppose those are good ideas. And they could have been interesting. But I just find it annoying how everyone seems to be judging the episode based simply off of what didn't happen and not what did happen.

 

 Though I don't think Gilda being in the flying competition would have made any sense unless that was brought up or mentioned in Rainbow falls. And a magic competition was never mentioned, though it would have been cool.
