Well if they existed in a higher or lower dimension we couldn't interact with them anyway, as 2 dimensional beings can not precive us, and we cannot precive any beings that exist in the 4th or higher.

I would find some kind of outlet for that. When I felt lonely and helpless, I used my art and humor as a way to cope with it. I've been suffering from constant depression, and environmentally-induced stresses such as my lack of a job or any worthwhile hobbies outside of the Internet, in addition to social anxiety. I channel it through my work. See if that helps you.
