As Whiplash's eyes fluttered open, she sleepily yawned. Her body wasn't aching as much anymore, she remembered a nurse coming in and giving her more medication. Suddenly, something clicked in her head. "The next round of this disgusting tournament is going to be soon," she said to herself. The pegasus examined her wounds. How in the world would she win a battle with her body in this condition. "I have to try," she muttered.

Stone looked around. There wasn't any doors to escape from except the one mason came out of. She slowly got out of bed. And crawled over to the door, once there she closed it quickly before running down the hallway. She had to find a way out now, but where.

Mason noticed the empty bed after laughing at a joke he'd made. Then he snarled at Gatasubal. "You let her escape, you big, metal idiot!" He rushed past him and seeped into the hallway, running in a style that only someone without bone structure can. "Stone Heart! Get back here, you're too injured to run!"

Pella's ears fluttered, and she tilted her head. "Did you guys... Hear something? Or am I just listening to mor of the stupid machinery in this place? I swear, sometimes that electric whir drives me nuts. But... It sounded like a pony slammed a door." She looks around confusedly, and frowns.

Stone ran as fast as she could, well as fast as a half dead girl could. But she tried her best. Her hoofs grew tired but she kept trying and trying. She looked around for the stairs. "Stairs stairs stairs....where could the stairs be dammit" she looked around and then she heard mason.

The stairs were around the corner and this was Masons last chance to stop them. He heals out one hoof and it stretched, far. Almost far enough to reach her. Almost there... so... close!

Sole wws about to agree it was just background noise, but for some reason he felt like it was more. "I... I don't know." He said honestly with a shrug "let's go to ehere you heard it. Maybe something is wrong." He suggested "you can hear it, lso lead the way." He said to pella.

She nodded, "It was this way." She walked at a steady pace, towards the infirmary. She walked a ways in, and then nodded at a door that said 'Restricted Clearance'. "I hear many machines echoing in there. It would seem to be a large empty space, like a hallway or stairwell behind this door."

The stairs were around the corner and this was Masons last chance to stop them. He heals out one hoof and it stretched, far. Almost far enough to reach her. Almost there... so... close!

Stone kept running, she then felt her heart again jump. It hurt slowed her down just for a split second. That second screwed everything up. She then felt the feeling of Somepony grab onto her. Which gave her a yanking feeling on her throat. "So close..." She said once she was grabbed.

As Whiplash moved out of the infirmary, she saw Sole and an unfamilar pony walking past. "Is something wrong?" She asked, struggling to catch up to them. Whiplash heard some faint noises up ahead and frowned, while sizing up the new pony she didn't know.

Pella had her ear against the door and motioned the new pony to be silent. "I hear a struggle. I'm assuming that there are two ponies, one female, the other being that security head from earlier. Your choice Sole; go in or stay here," she looks at him expectantly.

Sole didn't know why, but he felt like something important just happened "stone... he mumbled inaudiably *no... don't get your hopes up. She's dead...* he thought sadly... but his heart wouldn't let him give up hope completely "we need to find out what's going on here." He said seriously

Mason dragged her back into the lab. "Hmph. You tried so hard." He said as he strapped her back into her bed. "You really shouldn't feel so bad. He's moved on. You may need him, but he doesn't need you. He's come to liking another mare. The one who nearly killed you, no less! I'm so sorry."

Her tail and mane became noticeably shorter, as she became a little taller. She claps her hooves together three times, backing away from the door each time, and then lunges at the doorknob. There was a sound as the door's inner mechanisms snapped and the door was flung open. "Aspect of the Eagle!" Her eyes became more bright, as her mane gained a more feathered look. There was a stairwell, that she ran quickly down. She saw Mason dragging somepony else around the corner. "Quickly!" she calls. (Probably my last post of the night.)

Whiplash hurried after the pony, a couple of her wounds re-opening as she pushed her heavy legs to go faster. "Ugh, screw this," she cursed, and opened her wings, letting them carry her quicker. One of them was aching, but they were still quicker than Whiplash's legs. I hope we get there in time, she prayed.

The hallway outside enveloped with security personnel, making it impossible for Sole and his friends to get any closer.

 

Mason frowned falsely. "Its too bad that he moved on so fast, but at least he's happy." Mason gave her a friendly pat and went back to work acting as if nothing had ever happened.

Frost barely moved when Icy's hoof connected with his face. "Now I see why magic is your strong suit." he said muffled by the mares hoof in his face. He pulled away from Icy and spit "You actually have managed to piss me off." he said as he pulled out one of his throwing knifes and stabbed Icy in the chest. "Now...please....how bout some dinner." he said as he heard the blood run off the knife and hit the floor. "This knife will make your blood boil in a few seconds, and don't try to regulate your body temperature. The knife will adapt." he said as he pulled another knife and put it through her leg. He stepped back and began counting his bits. "I have enough for that pasta place down the street. Mmmm....pasta." he said

As Whiplash's wings carried her closer, she suddenly stopped. The hall was crawling with security. "Oh, isn't that great," she groaned, drifting to the ground. The pegasus normally would've barged right in and taken them down, but in her current state, that would be impossible.

 

"Wait!" she shouted to Sole. Whiplash rubbed her temples in frustration. The pegasus knew he needed back up, and even if she couldn't fight as well right now, she went in after him.

"But Masons words were of comfort." Gatasubal said confused. "He proclaimed that your love was happy. In addition to this, Pegasi are 30% more likely to successfully breed with Griffins than unicorns are." (He's trying to make you feel better. He's bad at it.)

The security staff stopped him before he could even get close enough to see the door to the lab. "Authorized personnel only." One staff said. "Back upstairs with ya!"

Whiplash sighed. "I told you to wait up," she called to Sole as the mare made her way back up the stairs. "I'm sure we'll find a way to get in there sooner or later," Whip muttered, ignoring her wounds as she climbed the steep steps. At least, I hope so, she thought.

(It feels good to play as Mason. My favorite villains to play as the ones that screw with your head, especially the successful ones.)
