"There is a better way to set out a fire" Apolyon says "just teleport water on top of the fire, or just teleport the fire away from the building. Both are easy" Apolyon's horn starts to glow with a black aura, closing his eyes Apolyon teleports a small pond's water over the top of the building Apolyon passes out under the strain of the spell.

Chamois looked at him and opened her mouth to say something.  It was too late.  He teleported the water above the library and passed out from the strain of the spell.

Chamois blinked.

The water came flying down over the fire and Chamois.

"Gah!" Chamois cried out as she got soaked.

((Okay, I'm just going to say for time's sake that Night Dart gets Peppery Mint out.))

Night Dart had been going around catching anything that fell that was large enough to crush or capture a pony and now saw that almost everypony was out. He grabbed one of the last ponies who hadn't moved yet (Peppery) and flew her out, setting her on the ground near the group. He flew back in.

 

Sunny nodded. 

"Yes, but I want everyone out before I use it, because there are still parts that are liable to fall and crush somepony even after putting the fire out. You go out, Night Dart and I will be fine. Get everypony who has gotten out to the edgae of the Everfree. We were going to go there for the second test, anyway."

 

Firecracker saw that the only ponies left were her sister, and the guards, as well as the pony who had greeted them, and knew it would be fine if she and Sparky left. She flew out the door, expecting her sister to follow. 

 

A bookcase had fallen on Blue Bell in the back, and other ponies hadn't noticed in their rush. now, Color Spark found her and tried dragging her out, only to get captured by another falling bookshelf.

 

The extinguisher and pond water did quite well to put out the fire, but there were still parts that were burning. Most exits closed up so the only ponies who could enter or exit were unicorns who knew teleportation and Pegasi.

Suddenly Amour heard something, something soft and melodic yet strangely eerie and compelling all at the same time. She turned her head this way and that. Who in the wide world of Equestria could be singing at a time like this? Her eyes locked on the entrance to the Everfree Forest and before she knew it, she found herself trotting forward. First a a casual pace then a brisk canter, she needed to get to the forest.

A few moments later, the fire was gone, the library... burned down. Covered in dust, he walks back to the entrance of Everfree Forest where everyone was waiting, he shakes off the dust off him tired and exhausted from teleporting back and forth to get MOST of the ponies out and sighs looking into the distance seeing the burned down library.

Nocturne saw that quite a few ponies had made it out of the library. She frowned as she continued to sing.

Hm. It seems  they were lucky. No matter, my Timberwolves will finish them. 

 

Firecracker watched the stallion pass out from using the spell and flew over to him. As one pony started to leave, she shook him gently to wake him up and followed her. Sn eerie, distant sound - was it music? - drifted through the air and came into earshot. It sounded beautiful and made her want to come nearer. She followed the sound and soon, lyrics started to form, creating a hauntingly beautiful song.

 

((if anypony wants to think of lyrics for it, go ahead. I think it would be a slightly altered and more eerie rendition of the song in Children of the Night.))

 

 

((Nocturne's half-siren, so in a way, yes she is under a spell. but more like the singing puts you in a trance.

He looks at the group as they all slowly trot over to the forest as he hears the voice inside the forest as well. From being so tired and exhausted, he easily falls fast into the sweet, alluring sound of the voice. He follows the group into the forest as the sound keeps getting louder.

Apolyon woke a few seconds after the teleportation spell was cast, making a note not to teleport liquids again Apolyon follows the group heading twords the everfree maintaining concentration on maintaining his alter ego trying to escape Apolyon barely hears the singing. But still following the group.

Chamois noticed the other ponies going to the forest.  Chamois paused for a long moment and then trotted after them, not knowing why exactly she decided to.  She just had a feeling that she should. 

As Chamois neared the forest, she began to hear the singing.  Her ears twitched and at first, Chamois's not trusting mind resisted against the spell, but Chamois was not a very powerful pony.  She too, fell into the haunting song and found her hooves going towards the direction of the voice, her hooves matching the rhythm of the song.

As the haunting music echoed through the trees, Emeralds head turned towards the direction if was coming from - she was terrified but drawn to it at the same time.

 

'I can't just... just...' The harder she tried to collect her thoughts, the more the song seemed to drown them out.

 

"I am going to... what... just over..."

 

Looking down at the burned pony, her eyes lost focus and she found herself drawn towards the edge of the clearing, and then into the deeper forest itself.

Fire Sharp could hear music, she couldn't feel any pain and there was nothing around her but the music. 

Music, music. MUSIC!

Fire opened her eyes and tried to move away, but the pain from her burns kept her still. She tried to move her hooves that they covered her ears but she was only able to move them up half way. She had encountered things to do with music and she wasn't about to get caught again, she couldn't deal with anymore music. Not again.

She swallowed, her throat dry from the fire. She couldn't stop herself from hearing the singing as she couldn't do anything to stop herself in her state. She could the spell come over her. 

 

She felt the trance get to her, take her over. And that trance had somehow given her strength. She got up from the floor, the pain excruciating but she was able to stand. Years of hard work and training had her fit enough to do anything, but this was something that only the possesed could do. She looked up to the music was coming from and heading in that direction. Having no knowledge of where she was going or even control of her body.

Like everypony else, Moon heard the music from afar and turned her head towards it. From hearing it, all other noises were blocked out so it only put her focus onto the notes that we're playing. And slowly, she noticed that she started to walk towards where it came.

The trance had taken her over now, guiding her way past everything since she was blind. Now the only thing was what was at the center of all that.

Midnight heard the singing voice just like everypony else.

Before completely being under trance he thought. "This sounds familiar. Could it be?"

While studying Midnight read about it once. Never did he believe it actually existed, after all the book was over five hundred years old.

Persistence watched as ponies started walking towards the forest.

"What in the world? Where you all goin'?"

Receiving no reply she starts heading to one of the ponies at the back, hopping along beside him she waved a hoof in front of his eyes.

'Nothin, not so much as a blink'

She turns back and heads to where she last saw the princess. As she does she starts humming a hollow tune.

'Wish I could get this bloody song out of my head'

Winter sees the hoof in front of him waving still focusing on the song as it plays then he starts shaking his head wildly as the pony looks away then holds his head with his hoof. "Ugh.... W-what happened..?" He looks around to see the mare walking away. He walks to the mare asking her if she knows what's happening.

Persi turns to the Stallion who not a minute before didn't respond to her and replies,

"No bloody idea, you lot just started waltzin' off. What do you know of whats happenin'?"

'For soon we'll away, into the calm and the qui- Bloody hell! Whats with this bloody song!'

He looks around seeing but the other ponies wonder off aimlessly into the forest then he looks back at the mare, "We have to follow them at least...?" After turning his back going to the rest of the group, he hears the mare sing some lyrics then turns back to her, "Hey what's wrong..?"

Stepping carefully through the forest, Emeralds mind filled with static as it tried to resist being twisted around the musical charm - with little success. Somewhere inside, she knew what was happening: mental manipulation was her own gift as well.

 

Knowing wasn't enough though: she couldn't break free of the trance for fear of facing the consequences.

 

'Stop...' The melody drown out her thoughts.

Apolyon was starting to get the idea that he was fighting a loosing battle to keep his alter ego hidden. Apolyon knew that his alter ego had a upper hand in escaping in the everfree, but that did not mean that the ego would not try to kill all of the other ponys in the group. Sighing Apolyon said "here goes, Unishar if I let you go you must make a promise not to hurt any of the ponys in this group OK?" "Understood" His ego responded in a voice that only Apolyon could make out. "OK then" Apolyon says letting his ego take over him. Rearing up Apolyon lets out a short growl than shakes his mane and keeps following the group.

"I donno mate, I started hearing a song and now i can't get it out of my bloody head" Her voice full of concern and fear.

"The forest, it's something from the fo..." she drops of and her face falls slack, she turns and starts walking back towards the forest.

A physical force stops her however...

Apolyon looks around seeing a pony at the edge of the forest talking he barely makes out "I started hearing a song" curiosity perking he trots to the pony. "I herd you saying something about a song. What were you referring to? Are you another Schizophrenic?" Apolyon asks voice calm and deep.
