so i'm pretty surprised that i couldn't find a topic about this awesome game yet. and if there allready is one then i'm just stupid.

but i'll get to the point. there is this awsome game called Dying Light

it's been announced and they even showed a gameplay trailer.

 

look at it! that's pre-alpha footage you're looking at! kinda impressive, no?

it's kind of like a mix between left for dead and mirror's edge i think, and i am definately excited for this one!

I found out Techland made this, and i simply want to say...

 

DEAD ISLAND 3 / DEAD ISLAND RIP-OFF or SPIN-OFF

 

I like the look of the game, but it feels as if Techland recycled Dead Island completely, same weapon swing animations, same "charger" zombie (although with a different look), same sliding animation, same weapons. same nearly everything!

 

I do like the "slow-mo look behind you" thingie they show in the game, it looks very handy if you're being chased. Other than that, i'd say this is a greatly recycled game.

Yeah, I was really blown away by this game.

 

When I first heard about it I thought "oh, look another zombie game meh, I'll pass" but, then I watched the gameplay and I was like ZOMG this looks epic!

I'm one of those who really likes zombie games. I never tire of them.

 

This one looks pretty amazing and I like the setup of zombie by day, something else by night. The parkour will add a nice flair instead of trying to muscle past zombies. It'll give more options in the longrun.

Hmm, the daylight portion seemed pretty standard zombie game affair, very Dead Island-ish, not very impressive. The night portion was pretty cool though; it had more of a survival horror feel to it, instead of "beat the head in of every zombie that's unlucky enough to cross your path" feel of games like Dead Island. 

 

Still the Dead Island feel I'm getting from this game is a major turn off so I'll probably pass on this game  -_-

A few things I noticed.

• When the charging zombie charges he folds his arms, and he looks just like the charger zombie in Dead Island.
• This seems like Dead Island with a more parkour spin onto it.
• The guy has an electric knife, so we can mod just like in Dead Island.
• This seems to be less combat oriented than Dead Island. In Dead Island you could go rage mode and deal with hordes easily. This game seems different, I like that.
• The night time looks interesting. I like how it'll change things up a little bit.

 

Overall this game looks kind of cool actually. The whole Dead Island vibe made it a little less appealing to me though.
