fan fiction Let's Make the story of the MLP FiM Movie!

I'm gonna try something different in this forum section and rather than present fan-fiction made completely by me how about we develop a story together in this thread!

 

I've been thinking about the possibility of a movie and it's just so possible. If the 2 episodes of season 2 had me hooked as much as they did then surely a full-length movie would be amazing.

In fact if it's done correctly it can put Disney movies to shame!

 

All I have for an idea so far is a return of Discord (pretty common idea) but this time with some sort of help. Maybe some other villains that originally helped him rule.

 

Obviously the story should be related around friendship but I loved the way in the Return of Harmony (spoilers)

that Discord was messing around with their friendships and turning each of them into the opposite of what they truly were. Maybe there could be some sort of way of expanding this.

 

Add you own ideas, I'm interested in what you guys can think of!

I like the idea best that was posted here in another thread. Make the movie about Celestia and Luna's first defeat of Discord a thousand years ago. It would be a chance to see classic Equestria in medieval times, and it would accomplish bringing back Discord again, but in his first incarnation. This would also let us see the royal sisters united against him before Luna turned evil, we would get to see them work together to defeat him using the Elements of Harmony for the very first time and lay the foundations for Equestria as it would become. Besides, origins stories are popular these days.

Doctor Hooves takes the mane 6 back to see Celestia and Luna fight off Discord, but something goes wrong and their presence causes the Elements to be drawn to them because in the future they're the true wielders. But this means Celestia and Luna can't use them, so the 6 have to stay and help defeat Discord or else risk destroying history.

I wouldn't mind seeing Twilight and her friends go back in time...that would be very interesting. Maybe Discord takes over again and the only way to defeat him in the present is by defeating him in the past...

Maybe Discord is released by some other villain but the only way to take control is by getting passed the Elements of Harmony so he goes back in time to before the Elements were assembled by Celestia and Luna and stops them, then leaving it to the mane 6 in modern day to reacquire them in some sort of way...

A crossover movie with all the ponies from different generations having to team up against a common foe (or maybe even multiple foes). Of course, the power of friendship would play a key role (it IS MLP, after all). Anyway, it's just a thought. But seeing Firefly and Rainbow Dash team up would probably be pretty awesome.

Anyways, If I could choose a movie theme, I would want a new villain. I mean, sure, the original overthrowing of discord would be awesome, and I would pay to watch it, but I think it could benefit from having a fresh face.

It turns out that Discord actually convinced Luna to become NMM by using his mind-control powers while they had their battle. In the movie, he comes back, and turns Celestia evil, like Luna, ad plants begin to dry out, water evaporates extremely quickly, and all that good stuff.

A new villain named the Nightmare Queen turns Luna back into Nightmare Moon against her will, causing her to become evil and the two build an army and take over Equestria, forcing our six heroines to flee to a place called... Earth.

I would like to see some sort of night villain much like Nightmare Moon, maybe someone Luna had been working with when she was bad.

I think some bad creature who Discord and the Princesses knew about a long time ago should come and Celestia, Luna and the main ponies would need Discord's help to stop the new villain. In that case we would most likely get to know more about Discord, see Discord helping the good ones, (which i would really like <3) and it could possibly make Discord appear more prominently in the series.
