It was early afternoon in Las Pegasus. The city was literally bustling in activities. Hundreds of ponies of various attires and social standings could be seen trotting on its roads. Many lurked inside the many casinos that dotted the city, gambling their bits for a chance of glory. Aristocrats mingled with each other in the massive penthouses above the streets.
 
Far high above the ground city, the greatest wonder of cloud architecture drifted lazily over the skies. Courtesy of two ambitious ponies, nearly half of the city's worth of buildings rested above the massive cloud, anchored to the ground with a mighty cloud pillar. On the entrance in its base, dozens of unicorns could be seen maintaining the entrance and offering a free cloudwalking enchantments for anypony who interested in the city above.
 
The day would move on, as it always was.

Starshine
 
In Las Pegasus' largest train station, a luxury train had just arrived, carrying within her passengers from all over Equestria to see and taste the city. Eager ponies inside quickly ushered themselves to set of from the train. Far away back behind the cacophony of the passengers, deep inside the cargo car, a lone colt slowly stirred awake. He suppressed an urge to yawn. Can't make any sound in here that without alerting a station guard. This should be the Las Pegasus, he mused. Groggily the colt stood up, fastened his saddlebag around his midsection, and channeled his horn to teleport him out of the cargo area...
 
*WHAM*
 
...and crashed himself into a trash bin outside, toppling it over and spilling all its content over the floor. "Bloody trout...!" he shouted. Why can't his horn do the right teleportation just this once? He had no chance to contemplate his misfortune, two of the city guards were closing in to him. Starshine quickly scampered to his hooves, and galloped away from the scene.

Yoyo
 
A magenta unicorn mare trotted out from one of the train's cars, a green saddlebag on her back. She hummed a cheery tune to herself as she approached a large billboard in the middle of the station. On it was a large artistic rendition of the city. She gasped on the sheer scale of it all. "Whoa... This is Las Pegasus. At last I'm here! Oh Celestia this is so wonderful oh heavens!" she giggled and made her way to a nearby window.
 
Yoyo's eyes twinkled when she spotted the massive floating city above the cloud. The part of the city below was almost dull in comparison. She knew she just had to try that thing, price be damned.

Manehattan

 

It was going to be a great holiday. Erlen had everything planned out. He and Chemm, his marefriend, were going to Las Pegasus for the duration of their designated holiday time from their respective work places. Erlen had established himself as a resident chemist at a pharmaceutical company, working on new chemical reactions that would provide new cures for different diseases that not even modern medicine or magic would cure. Erlen loved his job, and it showed. His managers were very impressed with his work rate and how dedicated he was to their good cause. Chemm, on the other hand, worked at the nearby Manehattan Hospital. She was working as one of Manehattan's aspiring surgeons and was getting a decent living wage with it. 

 

Erlen was ready. He had all of his bags ready, and the train was set to leave at 1:00 pm, about an hour time. Chemm was set to hang out a little bit at his place before they left together for their holiday. Just as Erlen was abut to sit to eat his homemade lettuce sandwich with cheese, he heard multiple rings on his door. He put his meal down and walked to the door with excitement, knowing it was Chemm. He opened the door, and there she was. She looked more dashing with each passing day. It left Erlen wondering why he had feelings for Fair Entropy in the first place. Chemm waved at Erlen excitedly and spoke with glee,

 

"Hey Erlen! It looks like you're raring to go!"

 

"Yep! It's an hour early, so you can just hang around here for a bit. My house isn't much." Erlen replied with a slight chuckle of nervousness.

 

"Erlen! You say that every day I come here. And I always have to say the same things to you. You're the special one Erlen. You make everything you own special." replied a slightly assertive Chemm. She was the assertive type, but ever since she met Erlen, she would always try her best not to be too assertive. Erlen replied with a mere chuckle as he let Chemm in to hang out for lunch...

Blaze Finder stepped off of a train car to see a pony teleport practically on top of a trash can. He quickly flew over as the pony galloped away. "You all right mate? You took a tumble back there. Uh... hey do you happen to know of any place I can stay?" Blaze had just realized he had not thought of staying arrangements. He sighed. Las Pegasus was clearly different from Trottingham, and he had been too excited to think about the important stuff.

Blaze Finder stepped off of a train car to see a pony teleport practically on top of a trash can. He quickly flew over as the pony galloped away. "You all right mate? You took a tumble back there. Uh... hey do you happen to know of any place I can stay?"

 

Starshine was a bit surprised that there was a pegasus catching up with him. At least this one wasn't a guard of some kind, he mused inwardly, must be one of the tourists. Starshine looked back, seems like the actual city guards were satisfied with just chasing him out of the station. He quickly skid to a halt and shook his head, a bit dizzied by the crash earlier. "I'm alright.... Thanks for asking," he wheezed. "And, if you're looking for a place to stay, just pick any fancy buildings around here and they will have a room you can rent."

 

He coughed a bit, his lips felt dry. There should be some pond around here he could drink from. "Anyway, gotta go now. Goodbye!" Starshine trotted away from the pegasus to look for a place to drink, and maybe to have something to eat. If he wanted to have a glimmer chance of succeeding in his mission, he would have to fill himself up.

Yoyo

 

Inside the station, near the food center, Yoyo was enjoying a hot cup of chocolate she just bought from a shop. The kind mare had helpfully told her about the 'skycity' above Las Pegasus. Knowing that the entry would be free of charge, she was even more excited to visit it. "But now, I need to buy... Oh, what's that?" Yoyo stopped in her way to the exit. Her eyes caught something peculiar in one of the flipped trash bins. Was there a fight around here? The mare gingerly trotted closer and lifted a ragged wooden box from among the trash. Her eyes narrowed when she spotted the graven letters under it. Why would anypony threw away a perfectly good music box like this?

Erlen and Chemm had finished their lunches together and were raring to go for their holiday to Los Pegasus. The train was set to leave in less than half an hour, and Erlen had just motioned Chemm to come along with him. As Erlen locked the door to his house, he couldn't help but feel that his connection with Chemm went deeper and deeper everyday. He looked back at his brick house and then turned to Chemm with a loving smile. He then spoke warmly to her,

 

"You know Chemm. The more I look at you like this, the more lovely you become. I don't know what I was thinking when I first saw Fair Entropy. How could I have ever forgotten you?"

 

"Oh Erlen..." Chemm replied with a blush and a giggle. She loved it whenever Erlen complimented her looks. There were stallions who thought she was pretty, but she never felt a warm tingle whenever they complimented her. Only Erlen gave her that. It was a long three years before they finally started their relationship, and Chemm became more and more comforted that she made the right decision in not giving up on Erlen when he left without her for what turned out the ride of his life. It was a journey to meet Fair Entropy, but when she heard that Erlen was swiftly pushed away, she knew... she had to care for him. It was a long road, but it was worth it.

 

"You always brighten my day with your compliments toward me. I sometimes wonder whether I deserve it after being so mean to you for so long." Chemm continued with a tinge of guilt in her. After all, she was among the first to have tarnished his self-esteem at Manehattan U along with his close friend, Sterling.

 

"Chemm... Everything in the past is over... I love you now, and I don't want you to feel regret or apologetic about the past. You told me the very same thing I'm saying now when I mentioned Fair Entropy." replied Erlen as he quickly gave Chemm a light kiss and a lick on her forehead. Chemm loved it whenever Erlen did that. It made her even more giddy than ever before.

 

"Hehehe Erlen! We have to get to the train station! We don't want to be late!" replied Chemm with a slightly higher pitch and a giggle as Erlen continued to kiss her forehead.

 

"Alrighty Chemm. You're right! Wouldn't want to be late!" replied Erlen as the couple happily walked over to Manehattan's train station...

Pelate Overcast-

It was finally let out of collage for vacation, but this train ride seemed more boring than class.

I pull out my silver thermos filled with coffee.

I smell my StarBucks coffee (no need to spoof XD) and I look out the trains window "ahh finally here" I look at what looked like a million empty coffee cups I and I was still tired from the long exhausting trip. The train stops and I trot on out of the cart and put on a fluffy trench coat. I throw away the empty cup I was holding and take a big breath of the... slightly fresh city air which was interrupted by a crash of trash bins I hold an unamused face. "Feh, klutz" I say inder my breath. i ignore the scene, mainly because the pony was already getting help. "Ah can't wait for tonight" I look at my dads ID I took it before I left, I did illegal gambling with my friends all the time and got away with it so i was going to do it at a casino, besides, ponies always think I look older than I am so why not. I look into my wallet, yup I have enough money, but I might need an ATM" I put the wallet away. *Probably should get to a Hotel they might all have no vacancy if I'm too late, that was a lot of ponies in that train* I thought to my self. *maybe I could get help* I find a mare standing near the bombarded trash can "hey can you help me? I want to find a hotel? Do you know any nice ones I can find? and I also want to know were the nearest ATM is i couldnt seem to find any. could you mind telling me or what?" I ask kind of quickly, sense I wanted to get there ASAP

Yoyo reflexively raised a forehoof in defense when a stallion suddenly came asked her a whole bunch of question. The music box almost slipped out of her telekinesis field. "Um, well, that's..." Her eyes looked around frantically. Where was the information center? There shouldn't be some kind of arrows pointing to that place somewhere, but she couldn't find any.

 

"Sorry, but I'm not from here. I... have no idea where those places are," she said to the stallion, slightly apologetic. Quickly she put the music box into her saddlebag before the stallion could say anything. "I just arrived here minutes ago. And, uh, yeah, you might want to ask one of the security or city guards here."

The stallion briefly looked sternly at the floor. Boy, he looked upset, Yoyo thought to herself. As best as she could remember, she didn't really said anything that could upset him, but the face of the stallion told her otherwise. Yoyo's ears fell flat to her skull. She had just arrived in the city, but she managed to make somepony upset. "I'm sorry," she whispered in a barely audible tone.

 

I turn around then turn back again "uhm, this may be a bit odd, but for future refrence might I have your name?" I ask the young looking mare.

 

Yoyo perked her ears up when the stallion turned around. "I'm Yoyo... From Manehattan, I'm here on a vacation." She gave him a brief smile. She hoped that he wasn't all that upset to her. This was a vacation for her, maybe it was the time to try and be... friendly? Yoyo was at lost on the latest part. "And, uh, your name? I don't think I heard yours earlier, sorry," she stammered out.

School's finally over and there's nothing better to do other than going to Las Pegasus! ...Alone. All alone. Azura let out a huge sigh and went back home to pack her stuff. There wasn't much to bring other than her mobile phone and some clothing. She headed over to the train station, bought a ticket and stood there, waiting for the train to arrive. There was nothing but chatter around her. A few minutes past, and the train finally arrived. She got on and sat down, staring outside the window and hoped that she would make a few friends before she left Las Pegasus.

Erlen and Chemm were finally at the train station. They both were here before, but this train ride felt special. Even more so than Erlen's train ride to Canterlot that took him on the adventure of a lifetime. Erlen and Chemm stopped by the train station to show their tickets before entering the terminal that would take them across Equestria... to Los Pegasus... deep down, Erlen was wondering why he listened to Chemm about going to Los Pegasus; yes she was the excited pony who wanted to be a part of all the fun, but Erlen had no intention of going to the casinos... he wasn't the type to try his luck. He liked museums and art galleries, and he scoured through the booklets to find as man as he could to make sure Chemm didn't gamble too much...

 

"Oh Erlen! I can't wait to try my luck at some of these casinos!" Chemm spoke excitedly as they boarded the train.

 

"Chemm... I don't want you developing a gambling addiction... Besides, they program it so that the house always wins! I've heard of many stories about ponies getting kicked out because they were winning too much. Casinos are for profit, and they get it because you lose! Besides, there's a lot better things to do than to gamble!" Replied Erlen, nervous about Chemm's casino excitement...

 

"Erlen! Don't worry about it! I'll make sure I only try once. I know I have a medical career ahead!" replied Chemm.

 

"Ok... if you say so... I'll make sure you get leaving once I think you're spending too much money. I've got lots of other places for us to try out! After all, They wanted to make Los Pegasus more family friendly!" replied Erlen with a nervous grin.

 

"Oh ok Erlen." Before Chemm could say anything more, the train closed its doors and roared to life. They were off on what would be the holiday of their lifetime...

Blaze nodded as the pony walked away. "Oh okay thanks." Blaze landed softly and looked around. Ah bollocks I should've brought somepony with me. He realized he wouldn't be able to have a good time around this place by himself. Once he got sleeping arrangements, he would go and find other ponies to spend some time with. He found a decent hotel and went inside. He got a room quite easily and for a decent price. He went to his room to unpack his saddlebags, then walked out of the hotel and began walking around, not sure where he was going.

Yoyo quickly returned the grin and shook Pelate's hoof. "Nice to meet you too, Pelate! You've just graduated from college? That's... good! I graduated from mine two years ago," she replied. "I guess you're here in a vacation too?" Inside, Yoyo hoped that Pelate would answer yes, so that she wouldn't have to be too alone in search for a hotel to stay.

On his search for a place to have some breakfast, Starshine decided to take a roundabout route in the residential area of the Las Pegasus. Everything was startlingly different. There were so many new shops and houses, even the destroyed plaza had been refurbished completely. He couldn't even recognize a single of these shops.

 

"Things change, I guess," he murmured under his breath as he looked around the place and jumped onto a nearby bench. "A bit too much, but a nice change nevertheless." Whoever did the job renovating the place did a perfect job covering the fire from four years ago, but Starshine could still feel the heat ebbed from the concrete-covered crater. Almost... He sighed and tucked his hooves under him. Maybe an hour or two sitting in here wouldn't be so bad.

Chemm and Erlen was now dozing off on the train. They were happily on their way to Los Pegasus. It was going to be a one day train ride to Los Pegasus, and they knew they needed to find some way to waste some time. The only thing they could do was an utterance of all the cute things a typical couple would be saying to each other... The room was practically quiet, but after the couple enjoyed their dinner inside the train, some chatter could be heard...

 

"Oh Erlen... I'm so glad I'm enjoying this holiday with you... It'll be the first time I ever enjoy a holiday with somepony other than my family..." Chemm gave herself a scoff at her family. They disagreed with her being a surgeon, and yet things were going perfectly for her; her cutie mark were dissecting scissors after all!

 

"I can say the same thing here Chemmy... The same thing..." replied a dreamy Erlen. Everything was just the way he wanted it. Some private time with Chemm... Little did she know that Erlen had a huge surprise awaiting her at the end of their holiday at Las Pegasus, and Erlen was glad to keep it a secret for now... The more he talked with Chemm though, the less he could the inner drive to do what he had to do... but he had to keep it down for now. The surprise was going to be special, and he couldn't ruin it by being rash...

 

Chemm giggled when Erlen mentioned her name like that. She replied afterwards, giving Erlen a kiss on his forehead.

 

"Oh Erlie... I love it when you say my name like that. It's so cute..."

 

"Hehe. I love it when you say "Erlie" too..." replied Erlen as he gave her a pucker on her right cheek. Despite all the love talk they could give to each other, the night was getting late... they had to rest... they would arrive at Las Pegasus soon after they woke up... Erlen then spoke warmly,

 

"Well goodnight Chemmy. We have to rest up before the morning comes and we arrive in Las Pegasus."

 

"Ok Erlie... Goodnight my love..." replied Chemm cheesily as she licked him on his cheek before the couple rested at their beds...

Erlen just awoken from their slumber on the train. It was a very good night sleep for the both of them, and the train was almost at Las Pegasus... the entertainment centre of the world... It was going to be a great holiday, and the couple were inching closer and closer to it. Erlen awoke first, noticing that Chemm was still fast asleep... Oh how cute she looked when she was asleep... Her head was turned towards the train's brown walls while the sun shone happily above. Erlen had to awake her, and that he did, even if it ruined the serenity of the moment. Erlen tiptoed cautiously towards the bed where Chemm lay. He then approached her closely before licking her ear... 

 

Chemm could feel her ear being licked, and it was ticklish. Very ticklish. Chemm giggled in her sleep, but she wasn't quite awake. Erlen then decided to whisper directly in her ear before licking her again,

 

"Chemmy... you have to wake up now... we're almost there..." Chemm continued to turn with a smile on her face. She then opened her eyes to Erlen licking her ears. Chemm giggled again before replying with a kiss of her own,

 

"Ok Erlie, I'm awake. Let's make sure we didn't lose anything before we get off the train." The couple then checked their green and yellow bags for their belongings, to which everything was intact. They then excitedly brushed themselves across before the train's conductor announced that the train would arrive in about an hour. After the couple cleaned themselves, they headed happily towards the dining room where they ate breakfast...

I can show you if you want or..." Blaze quickly saw the mare the stallion was talking to. They didn't look related. "Or you could find it yourself if you want."

"Okay then," Yoyo mumbled. Looks like she would have to go around by herself. As her luck would have it, a pegasus soon approached Pelate and offered him a place to stay. Pelate's sarcasm from earlier kinda stung her a little bit, but she tried to pay it no mind. "Uh, gotta go now. See you later," she said curtly to the two stallion and trotted away from the pair.

 

After she was out of earshot, Yoyo sighed. She silently scolded herself. Of course the stallion was on a vacation, nopony would visit Las Pegasus after their graduation to search for a lost artifact or something boring. She absentmindedly took out the ruined music box out of her saddlebag. The thing could use a repairing, fast. She then broke into a gallop into the nearest hotel she could find.

The breakfast was a good one. All the two could think about at the moment was the fun they would have at Las Pegasus. Erlen was hoping to bring Chemm along to see the huge aquarium they had and the museums that showed off Las Pegasus' history. Chemm wanted Erlen to relax a little bit and try some of his luck at the casinos. Either way, both ponies were going to make sure this was the best holiday ever... 

 

As they finished eating their breakfast together, the conductor had announced that they would now be arriving at Las Pegasus. Eventually, the train came to a grinding halt by the brown wooded terminal. Erlen and Chemm eagerly walked to one of the exits and quickly walked out for some fresh air. All they could see though was dirt... That wasn't what they expected from Las Pegasus at all... Chemm instantly asked Erlen with worry,

 

"Uhh... Erlen... where's Las Pegasus? I only see dust for miles and miles..."

 

"Well they said that it had to be around here somewhere..." spoke an increasingly nervous Erlen as he continued to search for any sign of life in the barren sand... 

 

Erlen continued to look around, noticing the other ponies walking in a certain direction to his left... Erlen decided to follow them, motioning for Chemm to follow suit. As they continued to walk past, Erlen eventually spotted a long elevator that led to what looked like a large, brightening city... Apparently, much of Las Pegasus was on the clouds, and the elevators would serve as their entrance... Needless to say, it left Erlen shocked, but Chemm was even more shocked...

 

"Erlen! Is... is Las Pegasus on the clouds?!" spoke a trembling Chemm. She had no idea... that in order for her to enjoy Las Pegasus at its fullest, she had to face her fear of heights... She held tight onto Erlen's left hoof, clearly expressing her deep fear... Erlen too was shocked. He thought the term "Pegasus" was simply there as a metaphor for the fast and entertaining life. He had no idea Las Pegasus was on the clouds...

"Ok cya" I look at the stallion who was talking to me "hmmm, ok I'll go with you, but whats the hotel called?" I cock an eye brow in curiosity. "I'm just want to know where I'm going to." I said sarcastically but also seriously in a way. "What's your name? I'm Pelate" I stretch out a hoof for a hoofshake.

Blaze smiled, returning the hoofshake. "Blaze. Um... I'm not easily sure what it's called. I just kinda walked in and it seemed nice enough. It's uh... back that way. I can show you the way if you want. If not I understand. I heard some of the ponies here were a tad bit nutty."

"Oh ok, can you lead the way there? I don't really know where I'm going." I was hoping to get there soon before it got too late, *a tad bit nutty* "heh I bet, but I'm sure it's not as bad as other places you know." I then get back on topic "so will we be heading out now?" I eagerly Turn my head to the exit.

Blaze nodded. He turned in the direction from whence he came and craned his head towards Pelate. "It's this way. And it's not far." He started walking but stopped and turned around. "Did I uh... interrupt something when I came over here? I feel like that mare leaving was my fault."

I follow Blaze. "oh, no you didn't. Besides, I can probably meet up with her again some time." I just shrug and hold a my usual straight face. "I dont know about you, but a lot of back at home Ponies tend to feel like I'm angry at them just because of the tone of my voice though I'm not. Gets pretty funny sometimes." I chuckle a little at the thought.
