"Sure, though later I might just head back to my apartment anyway, it's actually been kind of a long day." He chuckled, "But for now...let's do this." He touched the ground with all four legs, and stood to one side of the pony. He nodded his head, "Ma'am." He wasn't always so proper, but to him, she seemed like a proper pony.

They both stared out of the window, separated by a vertical barrier. "I need a cigarette. Bucking Sonny, getting me hooked." Neghlie dragged a gold tipped body from out of it's red and white coffin and ignited the end of it, inhaling deeply as she lit it.

 

"I suppose I should go for a walk and see the sights." Neghlie thought to herself, cigarette in mouth and breathing the hot fog out of the corner it. She grabbed the key from the mahogany dresser and locked the door behind her.

 

"You can't smoke in here, M'am." A well dressed mare fired at Neghlie with a dirty look.

"Oh gosh, I'm sorry, I'm still getting used to everything up here." Neghlie said shyly as she stubbed it out against the metallic rim of a nearby bin.

'Not exactly what I was expecting. And two Griffons will be pretty conspicuous... Oh what the buck - I need to get out more anyway.'

 

"Are you always so formal? I'm not some flower you might stand on and crush, you know?" She said to the male with a grin, trotting quickly ahead to make her way down the fire escape and get back to ground level.

 

"So... What do Griffons do for fun then?" She asked. It wasn't exactly important information: she was just curious. "What were the pair of you up to?"

Acid could feel himself being taken off the ground.

He felt even more confused.

Am.. I flying?

His thoughts kept flying throughout his mind. He started to wonder how, if this was a dream, or if it was him dieing.

The surge came back, but no speaking in the back of his mind.

"So... What do Griffons do for fun then?" She asked. It wasn't exactly important information: she was just curious. "What were the pair of you up to?"

 

 

He half-grinned, "Well, uh...we just had lunch...and now we were out to go look for dates. For me, at least." He chuckled, "Now...where we're from...Griffons usually hunt, fight, and race for fun." He grinned at the thought that that statement might make her uncomfortable. "But I've lived here for 3 years now, so I'm used to 'pony fun' and a lot of the other things that you guys do."

"Well, looks like you did pretty well on the 'date' front..." She nodded slightly towards the one called Sabel with a knowing look in her eye.

 

"Hunting..." She glanced at the talons and beaks of both of the winged creatures with a mixture of admiration and unease - still perfectly aware of the dangerous game she was playing. "... Yeah, not exactly my... thing. Hooves aren't too great for that sort of stuff..."

Percy blushed. "Oh! No, no no no, not Sabel." He grinned, and also hoped that didn't sound too insensitive.

 

 

 

"Hunting..." She glanced at the talons and beaks of both of the winged creatures with a mixture of admiration and unease - still perfectly aware of the dangerous game she was playing. "... Yeah, not exactly my... thing. Hooves aren't too great for that sort of stuff..."

 

 

Percy couldn't help but laugh at that, "Don't worry, we're not particularly known for hunting ponies..." He grew a small smile,  and thought to himself, "Hm. Nah, I don't think I'd get along that well with her if we somehow ended up together."

Sabel just laughed, tilting her head back and flicking one of her wings.  "Yeah, I'm not really Percy's type.  We're just friends, nothing special to it."  She looks back to the other griffon and winks, a sly grin on her beak.  "And as far as fun is concerned, the correct answer is whatever we want!"  She laughed again, flapping her wings idly a couple times as they walk.  "I mean, it's not like ponies are lining up to tell us what we can't do."

He could feel the stallion moving on his back, raising his wings slightly in an attempt to keep him on. He couldn`t go full speed, out of far of causeing the man to fall off. If the stallion landed the wrong way, he could snap his neck! The hospital was still a good distance away, but Vincent couldn`t fly.... aside from his injury, that would just double the chance that the stallion on his back would slip off.... and falling from the air would be even worse...

It was then that a strange man came running up to him, blinking as she trotted up. When she spoke, he raised a brow "Thing? Oh, you mean this guy." he said, still moving but having slowed down so as to talk to the mare. "No, he`s not that heavy...." it was then he noticed the ring around he unicorn`s horn. So, she was in the city on rehibilitation. He decided not to let that bother him: she wasn`t foaming at the mouth, or trying to eat him, so he wasn`t going to judge her over that unless she gave him a reason to.

"Oh, cool. Don't know how many other Griffons you expect to find around here though." She said with a shrug.

 

So Sable seemed to have a rebellious side of sorts: that was interesting.

 

"Sounds good to me!" She smirked in response to the females answer: the last thing Symphony needed was to be hanging around someone liable to try and turn her in if something went wrong. Maybe she might even play the game herself? The mare made a second mental note to possibly bring this up later. She seemed like decent enough company - so did the other, Percy, for that matter.

 

She watched Sabel's impressive wingspan and unconsciously sighed at the memory of flying: this was why she usually preferred to not associate with other pegasi too much.

"Oh, cool. Don't know how many other Griffons you expect to find around here though."

 

Sabel almost made a comment at that statement, but stopped to glance at Percy.  He's been living here for three years with that secret...  Not my place to say anything about it.   Instead she grinned, looking back at the pegasus.  She liked this pony's attitude.  "Heh, so...  Where should we go?  I'm ready for something fun to happen, and have no idea where anything is in this city."

Glacier frowned as she was told that no help was required moving the body. She still wanted to stay around the griffin so tried asking other questions. "So..." ​Glacier began. "If you don't mind me asking, how did you come across this body? Did you just come across it and decide to help?" 

 

​Although she was acting calm and collected on the outside, she was secretly excited on the inside. 'I'm actually talking to another griffin! This is awesome! They're so hard to find in Equestria. I wonder if this one is as honourable as he was..."​ ​​​ Glacier's brow furrowed as she thought.

She had actually been in the city for less than a week: her sense of direction and intuition being what let her act otherwise. It was a nice change: being able to go back to her old game away from her friends prying eyes.

"Well..." Vincent said, feeling abit annoyed with the mare. He was trying to get this stallion some help, and he had to slow down to keep talking to her... but he supposed he could understand her curiousity. "Well, I was talking to him, cause he looked kinda pale. Was sweating alot.... I asked if he was alright and he just... passed out. Nopony around was doing anything to help him, so I sorta just picked him up. I`m talking him to the hospital now." he said, trying to pick up the pace a little, still lifting his wings up occasionally to steady the stallion. Vincent had appreciated the mare`s offer to help, of course, but with that ring on her horn he couldn`t see her being able to levitate the Stallion, and Vincent was strong enough to carry him on his own, albeit with some difficulty.

Sonny worked for a while before he realized he hadn't had lunch, and was pretty hungry. He tossed the half empty tequila bottle to the bed, and looked back out the window, looking to see if there were any restaraunts he could eat at. Upon spotting a decent looking cafe, he headed out his room's door, and down to the lobby.

 

"Alright, Skrill, let's do this. We need some food, and quick." He said, almost slurring some words, although he wasn't quite to that point yet.

 

Then he turned and noticed a certain mare in the lobby as well. The last mare he intended to see during his stay, was there, on his first day, in the same hotel.

 

"Neighlie?" He asked, rather loudly as he squinted toward the mare to make sure he was seeing straight.

Glacier trotted quicker to keep up with Vincent. "Yeesh,"  Glacier said. "Sounds pretty rough." Even though he seemed calm, Glacier could feel through the way Vincent was talking that he was getting irritated with Glacier. 'I need to find a way to make him less annoyed, whether he likes it or not.'

Glacier got next to Vincent's side and offered her back to him. "Lay him on," Glacier said with authority. "I've held heavier and you can have a rest. Also, I need to keep my strength up. Lay him on."

Acid heard voices.

Not his voice, the voice in his head.

Acid's eyes opened

"Huh what's going?"

Acid looked down, and noticed he was above the streets of Manehatten.

His horn glowed, as it did whenever he was surprised or scared.

He looked around an noticed that he was on the Griffon he was talking to earlier, and there was another Griffon, it seemed to be talking to the Griffon carrying him.

He noticed something.

He couldn't hear anything.

He decided not to move, judging by how far he was up.

She laughed at that, throwing her head back.  When Sabel looked back at the pegasus a wide grin was on her beak.  "Ha!  Now I like the sound of that!"  She takes a moment to stretch her talons as they walk, bringing it up to run it through the feathers on her head.  Heh, finally a pony with a sense of adventure!  This should be fun.

Glacier's sharp eyes noticed Acid's eyes open. She went to his side and began to talk to him, unaware that he was deaf. "Welcome back to reality," Glacier said in a calm, soothing tone. "We're getting you to the hospital. Just try and stay alive." ​Glacier placed a hoof on Acid's forehead and began to rub it softly, just as Glacier did when she had a headache.

Acid stared blankly at the Griffon.

"I- cant hear you..."

He tried to communicate with the Griffon.

Acid felt lightheaded and couldn't keep his head up.

He looked under him, noticing that he felt like throwing up.

He gave the Griffon a slight nudge off of his forehead and threw up.

@, (Hey, just so you know, my character isn`t flying. So you`re character isn`t really 'really high up'. He`s just on my character`s back.)

 

"Yeah. I`m not sure what`s wrong with him... " He mumbled. He blinked in surprise, however, when the mare offered her back to him. He smiled appreciatively, but shook his head. "Thanks, but between the two of us, I think i`m more qualified to be carrying him." he said with a small smile. He figured the big griffin would be better suited for a job than the mare "But I do appreciate it." it was kind of her to offer, atleast... he supposed she wasn`t as annoying. He`d thought of her as some sort of gossiper, that was just so curious she had to bother him.

 

He heard another, glancing back "Oh, hey. You`re awake. Listen, you might wanna stay still, i`m takin' you to get some help... you freaking passed out in the street!" He noticed the mare trying to comfort the stallion, looking at her and giving her an appreciative smile. It was then that the stallion threw up, causeing him to retch as it landed on the sidewalk. It didn`t feel like it had landed on him at all, but...

Glacier recoiled and jumped to the side as Acid vomited on the floor. "Woah!" she said loudly. Frenzy started building up in her voice. "This might be concussion. It's not good to stay at this pace. Time is of the essence and we don't have much time. We need to run. Now."

 

Glacier kept her back offered to the griffin in case he wanted to fly ahead and get some help from the hospital.

As the mare spoke, he nodded "Yeah, you`re probrably right..." he mumbled. He thought about it for a moment, and looked at her. "Look, I need to hurry. If you can, run ahead and tell the hospital i`m bringing this guy in." He said, figureing that, while he could more easily carry the stallion, the mare would probrably be able to run faster with him carrying the stallion. He took a moment to get in a good position. "hold on tight..." he mumbled, adjusting his wings in an attempt to keep him in place, before quickly picking up the speed, dashing as fast as his powerful legs could take him. While Griffin`s were strong, and had great endurance, speed on the ground could be a problem, still, the hospital wasn`t terribly far away, and he was optimistic that he would make it there shortly.

 

(Kinda makes you wish Equestria had phones, so you could call 9-1-1...)

Acid started to feel movement, quick movement, running.

'Wha-' was the only quick thought he had before it was grounded out by something else.

He was on a griffon?

Acid tried to remember what had happened, but, he couldn't remember anything.

Acid though hard, and then he heard something

Hearing!

He noticed he could hear.

The thought of hearing slipped away, it seemed he couldn't focus on anything.

'Finally! I'm finally getting to help out! Let's not let anyone down.'

 

As commanded, Glacier charged towards the hospital, leaping over low walls and benches to reach ber destination in the shortest time possible. Her immense speed meant that Glacier was able to reach the hospital in very little time and she was soon at the reception desk. She rang the desk bell and in moments a pony was there.

 

"This is urgent! Somepony has suffered what I think might be a concussion."

"Ok. Where are they?" 

"A griffin's carrying him here."

"So... you just happen to have found a concussed pony and got a random griffin to bring him here. A griffin! That's madness."

"It's the truth. I didn't find the pony though. The griffin did and I went to try and get help."

"Sure you did... that griffin just happened to find an injured pony that, knowing those murderous pests, he probably injured and now a ringed pony is getting help. I don't help murderers."

"How can you just shun aside the needy? I'll be back with an needy pony and if you don't help, there'll be an extra patient."

 

​Glacier rushed back out the door and back towards Acid and the griffin, ready to give the bad news.
