open The Edge of Time

"Ha! My kingdom! So much power for me!" Shrieked The Dark Lord as he sat upon his throne. "And not one pony can do a thing about it!" The Dark Lord laughed as he stood up and looked out his window. "That's strange... There seems to be a disturbance in the Everfree forest..." The Dark Lord said to himself. "Well no matter! Whatever is there can't stop MY power!" The Dark Lord laughed as he once again sat on his throne.

 

Unknown to the Dark Lord, there was something in the Everfree forest. And with this disturbance came the ponies of time. 4 were there with the powers of light. 1 harnessed the power of darkness. All of them with a goal: to control time itself.

 

Light Streak awakened with a gasp as he looked around him. "Gah... I don't remember this place..." He said to himself as he got up. He noticed that there seemed to be 4 other ponies beside him. They looked like they were in the same predicament as he was. (I'll wait for them to get up) Light Streak thought as he sat on the ground again and began to wait.

Blast got up and rubbed his head.

"Whoa... well, I don't remember passing out in Everfree..."

He looked around and saw Light. 

"Light! Thank Celestia you're here. What happened? And how did we end up Everfree Forest?"

He looked around and saw three other ponies on the ground.

"Oh, my Celestia! Thank heavens you're here, Blast! But I am not quite sure what happened... I was fighting, but then I saw white, and a voice..." Light winced as he saw that there was a deep cut on his arm. The cut said "hero" and "time". "What in Celestia's name is this!" He said as he clamped his hoof over the cut. "We can worry about this cut later. But the real question is... Who are they?" Light inquired as he looked at the three ponies lying motionless on the ground. It seemed that they, too, had the cuts. But on the end, one of the ponies had different cuts. It said "ruler" and "darkness". "Huh. Well, all of this aside, we need to get out of here! Should we wait for these ponies to stir, or should we leave?" Light asked.

"We should probably wait for them." He said. "We can't just leave them out here in the middle of the forest. We'll probably need to help them out of here once they're back up to their hooves." Blast decided to wait until the other ponies rose from their sleep.

"Sounds like a great idea-" Light was cut off as he heard rustling in the forest. Out jumped a small animal. Half chicken, half lizard, all killer. The cockatrice. "Don't look into its eyes!" Light shouted. "Keep them safe, don't let them look at it!" Light shouted as he walked up to the cockatrice. (Do your thing, strength!) Light thought as he grabbed a tree. Picking it up, he swing it onto the cockatrice, squishing it. "Well, that's one danger out of the way... Now we can wait." Said Light as he sat beside Blast.

Zycrin was the next to wake up from the ground. He did not remember how he got there, last thing he knew he had just killed a pony in Manehatten and then a white light and then he woke up here. He stood up and couched a little blood. "Who is there, what happened. You two, who are you, where am I and what happened here". Zycrin pulled out his sword and was in position to attack as his bow and arrows was missing, along with some of his lethal poisons and potions.

"Calm down there, we all have the same problem..." Light said as he noticed the cuts on this pony. His were "ruler" and "darkness". "I- Im Light Streak, and this is Blasted Nova. And we're just as confused as you. We're in the Everfree forest, and we are waiting for everypony to arise. All we know is that we all have cut on our arms." Light said as he showed his cuts to Zycrin.

Zycrin look at the pony in-front of him and processed what he had just been told. "Light Streak... Light Streak, where do I know that name from. No matter it will come to me eventually. So you do not know why we are here either. what about you? you have been quiet so far."

Blast pointed to himself in question. "Me? Well, we're obviously in the Everfree. We have no idea how we got here. I was just running through the plains near Ponyville when a bright light appeared right before my eyes... and then I blacked out." Blast explained.

"This all seems so weird. It's like... We all know each other. But I feel as if the forest is giving us amnesia." Light said as he looked at Zycrin. "I don't know how we all got here, but all I know is that we need to get ourselves ready. Threats lurk in the shadows that we may not be prepared for." Light said to the group. "I'm keeping an eye on you." Said Light to Zycrin. "You seem a little too... Familiar..."

"Well then, before I decide to hurt anypony I shall go and take a look around, if you need me, I will be in the trees, and If any of these other ponies wake up make sure to take names, and one final thing, watch your backs, some of us here are not to be trusted." Zycrin teleported above the trees to get a look at his surroundings but mainly to keep a close eye on Light and Blast, for he can remember a faint thing about the two.

"We'll, I guess that begins our quest. Weird... Wasn't there only two other ponies? Now there is three..." Light admired as another pony appeared with the cuts "Hero" and "Time" upon its arm. "Another pony, huh? I guess our numbers only increase. But why us?" Light asked. "Hopefully they will stir soon. If they don't, we may have to leave without them." Light said.

Creative Heart awoke with a start. She screamed when she saw the others above her. "WHAT THE WHAT?! Where you guys watching me sleep? I know I am only fourteen, but I am pretty sure that is considered creepy!" Creative Heart. still pointing at the ponies looked around in confusion. "Huh? This isn't my bedroom. And when did I get a tattoo?"

Light Streak reached out his hoof to Creative, and offered to help her up. "Come on up. I can't explain much, but we can stick together." Light said with a smile.

Pacific woke up and looked around, incredibly confused. "Where am I exactly and how did I get here?" He asked. "I mean, I've been in a lot of weird places but waking up with a bunch of ponies who I don't know around is pretty bucking weird." He added. He pulled up the hood of his cloak like he was used too, then waited for somepony to answer him.

Light Streak reached out his hoof to Creative, and offered to help her up. "Come on up. I can't explain much, but we can stick together." Light said with a smile.

"I'm Creative Heart. Unless your a stalker like my first coltfriend than I won't have any problem with us being friends." *takes his hoof and helps herself up* "Wow, I am tottaly not at hoke right now. God-please tell me I brought parchment and a quill?!" Creative rummeged through her bag. "Come on, come on come on! This scenery is total insperation for a story!"

Blast walked up to the mare? "Story? Dear Mare, this is no story. This is reality." He felt the need to remind her. "I'm Blast, Blasted Nova."

"Why, you're in Everfree Forest, fellow colt." Blast told him. "It seems we all came here in the exact same way; a time rift perhaps?" He asked Light.

"This is no time for a story. We have a crisis at hoof. And besides, we can't dilly-dally. We have to find a way out of here, and fast." Light said to Creative. As Light Said this, he noticed a pony with a hood and cloak on. "I heard your questions." Light said to the mysterious pony. "I am Light Streak. And we seem to be in the Everfree forest. I'm glad to see that you are up! We now only have to wait for one more pony to awake, then we can leave this accursed place!" Light shouted.

"Oh crap... Not this place... I never wanted to come back to this place..." Pacific said. He had been here once before, and he had nearly died. He was still terrified even by the thought of it. "We need to get out of here and fast." He said. If the others didn't come with him, he was going to run away anyway.

"Now, who is this last pony on the ground?" Light said to himself. "We all have something in common, the cuts, but why? Think, think! Why would we have 'Hero' and 'Time' cut on us? And why does that pony in the trees have 'Ruler' and 'Darkness' him? This is all too strange." Light said to himself.

Blast nodded. "Well, you're in luck. Fast is practically my middle name." He said in an overconfident tone. "First, we need to wait for this last pony to wake up, then we'll be on our way." Blast just decided to sit down and wait. That last pony looked vaguely familiar.

"Good, I am not trusting this place." Pacific said. "Not after what happened last time." He added. He was ready to run any second, no matter what anypony said. Wait... Running is what nearly screwed me over last time... I am gonna stick with them I guess... He decided.

"At least you weren't awake when the cockatrice was here. Celestia, I could go on for hours on a two minute fight." Light said proudly, looking upon the final sleeping pony. "I feel strange. As if the very fabric of time was crying for help." Light said as he sat beside the sleeping pony.

Light Streak looked in amazement as another pony appeared on the ground with the cuts "Ruler" and "Darkness". "Strange." Light said to himself as he studied the new pony that had arrived. "Hopefully he'll wake up soon, we really need to get going." Light said.

Manechilles shook his head furiously as he bolted to his hooves. He looked around, vaguely recognizing the forest, before his hardened eyes met Light's. He began to study him furiously, looking for the mark of his kinsmen. Instead, all he found was an unrecognizable tattoo and scars. "You! Pegasus!" he boomed out, "do you hail from mighty Storma?! Speak!" It was easily apparent that he held little regard to his surroundings as he glared intently at Light.

"There was a cockatrice here?! Awesome!! I've heatd about those, but I've never seen one before. Was it as scary as people say?" Creative'seyes sparked with delight. "You know, if we live I can write a book about this entire adventure!" Creative bounced with glee. "My Dad says I write to much, but he's a gutiar player so.."
