During the time you still lived in the human world (and to that extent, before you reformed), did you ever think about returning to Equestria earlier?

 

All the time, really. It is my home after all, and high school isn't exactly a paradise even when you're sort of running the show. The whole thirty moons deal kept me from coming home, which is probably best. It gave me some more time to grow, and realize what was really important to me.

Er, my version of Celestia dangled a wonderful and beautiful destiny in front of my face before snatching it away once I took steps to achieve it. I think I've had more than enough "trolling" from ponies like you in the past. Thanks, but no thanks. I will be my own guide, and my experiences here will be my teachers. Just like those friendship lessons I learned back in the other world.

The problem was, you were trying to seek after power alone, the steps you're taking where the wrong steps.

Sunset Shimmer I don't think you were being entirely honest, it was not Celestia that took away from you your destiny but it was you that walked away from it. Celestia did not say you could not be her student, you chose to not be her student.

Well, technically I only went through the mirror after the princess said "I am removing you from the position of my pupil.". I won't say that I didn't have any part in pushing her to that point, and I'm not even trying to say that she was wrong to do what she did. I think I demonstrated well enough during my years in the other world that I am not suited to be a leader or a ruler. I'm just asking you to understand how I felt, you see. Even if I was...wrong, it still hurt to have the pony I admired most reject me and say that I wasn't worthy of achieving my dreams. The way I reacted wasn't right, absolutely, but I really didn't know what to do. I guess that I responded in the way I did more than anything proved that I wasn't worthy...

I'd do my best to convince myself that bonds with other ponies are not a hindrance and a sign of failure, as I had thought before, and they can contrarily bring greater strength through the power of mutual support. As even Princess Celestia demonstrated, all the power, glory and majesty in Equestria can bring only pain if it is held in solitude, and that a pony had better keep the feelings of those around them in mind. Otherwise everypony ends up miserable in time.

 

 

 

How are you?

 

Well enough, thank you. I was feeling a bit tired and worn out earlier from pondering a few things, but I decided to not let my past get me down and I ended up rediscovering a series of books I loved as a filly. It's easy to lose track of time when you're lost in your memories and in another world, and before I knew it the day was over. Definitely not a waste though

I don't quite have the love affair with books that Twilight Sparkle seems to, but during my time as the Princess' student I had to read a healthy amount just to keep up. I'd guess around eighteen.

 

 

 

Which is your favorite one?

 

Without Wonderland, by Jump Mustang. It's more of a very long poem than a novel.

If you're asking why we broke up, it's a bit of a mess. He seemed to think that I didn't care about him, which was not true. I mean, yes, I was a bit self-centered back then. Maybe I still am. But it wasn't fair of him to say that to me, and he wouldn't listen at all. I did care

 

It's not like Flash was perfect or anything either, really. He always seemed to be showing interest in other girls, and sure, he didn't ever cheat on me or anything, but he caused me plenty of worries too. Wasn't I enough for him? And look how quickly he moved on too, one day he's breaking up with me, the next he's flirting with Twilight Sparkle... He could have at least acted sad that our relationship was over or something.

 

Bottom line is that neither of us were perfect and I'm glad that I've moved on by now.
