Would anybody else rather interact with the ponies as a human?

Just wondering. You see a lot of "If I could go to Equestria and become a pony-" stuff. I'm no fan of the human race but changing forms would be really hard to adjust to, especially not having hands.

 

Also if would be more like an alien encounter. I fantasize a lot about meeting them and learning to assimilate in their culture(though I already know a lot about their culture), or finding them on earth and keeping them safe and helping them get home.

I can understand where you are coming from though to be honest if I was stuck in Equestria I would rather become a Pony than stay a human. Otherwise, if I could I would only visit it and come back as an extremely happy human (and possibly visit it again). Then again who knows what could happen to me there  . ..

I'd rather be a pony if I was in Equestria. It would be less awkward that way since I wouldn't be considered an alien to the ponies. I would be one of them. Of course, it would take a while to adjust to the new form, but I would get used to it.

Yep, me too. I've never really liked the idea of somehow ending up in Equestria as a pony. I'd prefer staying Human. 
I dunno, I really like Human in Equestria scenarios, where cultural issues arise, and you have to get used to it as well as teach them about Human culture. I'd love the challenge of making friends with the local pony folk, and I kinda like the Human x Pony relationship idea too...

For me I choose pony as the phrase goes "When in Rome, do as the Romans do" or something like that. And besides, I already know what it's like to be a human so why not be a pony? It would be quite the hypothetical experience.

Yeah I get that, if somehow there was some weird way to get to Equestria I'd probably want to stay a human too. It's just the way I usually fantasize it honestly, I know it isn't possible of course but if it was I'd want to be there as my own species.

In my case, it's not so much as wanting to stay human because being a pony would be hard to adjust to, but because they have magic powers and such. Heck, even if I turn into an Earth Pony, I'd get to be strong, faster than I was before, and get their subtle Earth Pony magic. And heck, if I get to be a Pegasus or a Unicorn, I get to fly and control the weather or try to master magic! There's a lot of benefits to that option.

 

Now... I'm not saying I wouldn't miss being a human, especially if I couldn't ever turn back. And one advantage of being a human is that if I end back up in the human world, I'd be fine.

 

Cause if I was a pony and somehow got sent back... well, I have a feeling that one of many governments would be after me to contain and experiment on a colorful, talking, magic pony.

You'd actually be more awkward in Equestria as a Pony, fumbling around not use to your body. Ponies would think you were strange and weird, and as a pony not knowing exactly how the culture works you'd be even more strange. 

 

If you were human you'd have an excuse to be a bit strange and foreign to there society. You'd also be pretty useful seeing as you have thumbs and are a bit taller you could do lots of jobs, such as being a scribe or a baker being able to pick things up with ease and such.

You guys forgot something: general pony magic. Watch an episode and try to see if it doesn't contain ponies picking stuff up. Then you have ponies playing violin and more. Really, that's just magic. According to most who used pony magic in fics, the trick is to just not try to get it to work. Don't do so difficult about picking up that apple that fell on the ground, just pick it up!

 

If you'd turn pegasus, you'd get the added bonus of not only flying, but also semi-prehensile wings.

 

If you'd turn unicorn, you'd also get telekineses.

 

 

Really, for me, no question, pony. I'd be able to run faster, have more endurance, still do casual stuff, and get either: 1. Massive endurance and strength, 2. Flight, 3. Magic (do not get me anywhere near psionic energy).

No, I'd rather be a pony. As a human, I'd be an alien to the ponies. Also, I'd want to be a Pegasus because flying and cloud-walking.
