I have one of mini cadence! (well filly cadence).

 

Will get a picture of it later to show ! More importantly, would cadence have her alicorn wings when she was a filly? My plush does but we don't know if she became an alicorn the same way twilight did or not.

I don't know either, but I heard that in the comics it was told that she was born a Pegasus and got her horn similar to how Twily got her wings; Don't know if that's true though.

I think that is true. She had a true deep understanding of love, which is how she got promoted to Alicorn status.
