Six had nothing else to say, Shadow wouldnt even try to reverse his own magic, and plus... what could he do? He was just a lowly farm pony, nothing special about him...

Rain just stood to the side. Tears fell down her cheeks and she ducked her head. "Ten..." she whispered. "I may not have known you but at least you were a good pony when you were alive." She smiled sadly and touched the body gently. "I'm proud to say you were my teammate and friend."

She looked up to see the creature, but as soon as she did he took the body and disappeared.

"Why'd you let him leave?" she cried. "Ten'll never be the same again!"

Six watched as the pony left with Ten, tears escaping his eyes, he was helpless to save Ten, and now he was gone. He walked up to Rain and placed a gentle hoof on her shoulder, sad to see her the way she was...

"The last time this happend they changed him, into Evil Horrid monster, he couldent be changed back i...i..i had to kill my friend the last time....."he said "ITS ALL PART OF HIS STUPID GAME! I TOLD YOU WHATEVER HAPPENS DONT LET HIM TAKE TEN!" he yelled

Rain looked at Shadow and Boot from behind wet eyes. "You monsters," she hissed. "YOU'RE the ones who let him go!"

She pulled away from Six. "I thought you'd be on my side! I thought you were a good pony!" The hurt in her eyes was easy to see.

With that Rain ran off towards the woods.

Six saw Rain leave, but couldnt let her go on her own, he took off after her, "Raindancer!! Ya cant go off on yer own! We cant risk losin another pony!!"

Rain didn't care about the others calling her back. She just kept running, stopping in a clearing a few minutes from camp and collapsing in the grass.

Why couldn't he take me instead? I didn't even know Ten that well but he seemed do kind...and...and...

The tears flowed freely again, but this time they were the silent ones, occasionally punctuated with a hiccup.

a puff of black smoke appeared in the center of camp, once it cleared ten was laying there, sleeping, a note was tied to his neck it read

 

"here you go, hes perfectly fine, hes in good shape, now stop dieing on me damnit!"

Six didnt stop following, he saw her collapse and trotted next to her, "Rain..." was all he could say, his heart went out for the mare and it could be heard in his voice, he placed a gentle hoof on her shoulder, his heart aching to see her like this...

Shadow got out of his tent "I dont want to be around to see what happens to him later, he should of died by my magic and it would of been better" he began to walk away.

Boots who had stayed up smoking while waiting for Ten to return walks up to his sleeping body

 

"Hey mates, Tens back. and Seeing as how he's breathin now I'd say thats a good sign."
