movies/tv Pokemon Orgins the anime

This is the trailer for the upcoming 4 part anime special called Pokemon Orgins.

It appears to pay more of a homage to the original games than the actual anime does.

So what do you think about this?

I personally think it's cool how they're trying something new and not just doing the same thing over again and this is something fanshave wantedfor years.

It sounds cool, its a nice change of pace from the almost 800 episodes involving Ash. I don't have anything against ash's character technically, but he does get old after a bit.

 

Plus the trailers just look cool overall, and the concept sounds cool, I think it could be pretty cool overall.

 

I plan to watch it, hopefully it doesn't let down my expectations a bunch. It looks promising.

I have one question. Will the pokemon say their names like they do in the anime? I hope they won't because that was one of the many problems I had with the anime. Other than that, this seems really neat. In my opinion, Red should have been the main character to start with. Ash is lame. Oh well, at least Red is getting the proper respect he deserves.

I find this a lot more interesting than having ash lose another pokemon league in another region again. kinda sad to see its only a 4 part series instead of like a 26 episode series

 

I wonder if it''l be like the first few volumes of the pokemon adventure manga or if they are gonna do a different take on it

At least we don't have to see Ash anymore. Not like I hate the guy but, it gets older after a while when you see him in every episode. I don't want my expectations to go down from this at all.

I'm sick of Red, they should have gone with Leaf! Of course, I'm kidding but I am sick of it always only being Red, like in HG/SS and Brawl. But that's another topic.

 

On-topic: I will watch this, because I've had an interest in "watching" Pokemon again, but I just can't really watch the current anime. It's so...uninteresting? Hopefully this will be different.

That...that sounds really awesome...I grew up with the old Pokemon games, the original Pokemon games and TV show were pretty much my life lol

 

I haven't even seen the show since 3rd gen of Pokemon, I stopped watching it cause it kinda sucked lol
