Rune got up after the final bell. "Welp, I better get back to the dorm. I should probably swing by the main office first and ask Miss Beauty about the excavation tools..." Rune walked down the hall and entered the main office. He knocked on Miss Beauty's door and called. "Miss Beauty? It's Rune Blade. I have a question."

At hearing Lhee's voice, Amaya looked up to find him leaning against the wall, just as he had been that morning.She stopped.
"Oh!...Well," Amaya offered up an apologetic smile. "A-actually, yes. Yes, i would appreciate that quite alot, ..." she paused for a moment.
'His name... what what it? I'm sure he introduce himself', she thought, racking her brain before continueing in her usual quiet voice
"Lh..Lhee."

Flipping his bone club off of his palm, the Marowak gijinka grabs it out of the air and thrusts it through his belt.  Stepping forward away from the wall, he takes her duffel bags from her and nods on down the hallway.  

 

"Amaya, right?  ...Sorry about this morning.  I didn't mean to frighten you."  He turns a little to let her lead the way, having no idea where her destination had been.  Lhee smiles slightly at her, his mouth more visible from the side than from straight on.  He laughs quietly and shakes his head a little, his white ponytail smacking his neck.  "I know I look like a freak.  Brooding by myself tends to just make it worse, huh?"

Amaya nods, and takes a few leading steps in the direction her dorm should be. She returns Lhee's small smile gratefully, listening to his words as they make there way down the corridors. She bit her lip as he finished.
"No, no it's alright, i promise! I would have been just as spooked if you had been a little deerling girl in a dress and flower crown." Amaya reasoned, rambling on in her embarrassment.
"And, i don't think your'e a freak...you shouldn't think like that, especially here." Her gaze drifted over his mask for A moment, trying to make out just abit more of his face. "Well, yes your mask is a bit schocking, but it dosent make you and more of a freak than a girl spouting feathers, like me." I said alot, too much actually.

 

Amaya your so dumb. She busies herself, trying to match his stride.

Lhee really did laugh now, a deep earthy sound.  It made him stop and blink, quickly cutting off the laugh.  It wasn't a sound he was used to hearing from himself.  Quickly moving to catch up to Amaya he turns to grin at her as he readjusts his hold on her duffel bags.

 

"I've heard people refer to me a hundred different ways...  And I'm fairly sure that you're the first one to use the word normal."   He brings a hand up to smack a knuckle against his skull, resulting in a dull, solid sound.  "Trust me, I don't mind 'freak' in the least.  If the shoe fits..."  

 

Lhee smirks and shrugs slightly before continuing.  "I mostly mean that I stand out in a crowd when I say it, really.  I mean, a pretty girl like you seems a lot more normal than a guy with a skull over his head...  Speaking of that, I'm sorry, what are you?  I don't want to sound ignorant, but...  If I had to guess I would say a golduck, but that doesn't seem to fit...  I'm from the Kanto region, I'm not all that familiar with anything not native to Kanto or Johto."  

 

C'mon Bonehead, she's going to think you're an idiot.  Talking with someone is actually kind of...  Nice...  Don't blow this by acting like a moron.

What a nice laugh...

The feathers that crowned Amaya's head ruffle at hearing his complimant, and laughs her own, silvery laugh.
"Lhee, I'm certainly not a golduck. I happen to be part Swanna, a pokemon from Unova.Not too many people outside of Unova know alot about the pokemon there, so it's alright." As the duo round the corner, Amaya reads over door numbers. 25,26,27,28...
"I'm a Water-Flying type,and I... evolved.. from Duckling." She didnt really like using that term for gijinkas, it seemed like a foreign,scary thing. Amaya glanced back up at Lhee, noticing now that his hair was a white color, like hers.

"Your'e part Marowak, correct? I don't know too much myself about Johto,so i think that makes even."

Lhee nods slightly, instinctively turning his head away when she brings up what he is.  Wonder how much she knows about them?  If I'm lucky not much.  

 

"Yeah, ground type.  Used to be a Cubone."  He reaches up to rub the back of his neck, trying to think of a way to change the subject while at the same time trying not to dwell on his time before he evolved.  "Er...  What's Unova like?  I never traveled much before coming here."  He turns his gaze back to her and tries to smile again, hoping that she hadn't noticed anything unusual about his reaction.  You really need practice talking to people...

She watched his uncomfortable manner Ah..did i say something strange?
"W-well, I was..am, very sheltered since i was a little kid. My parent kept a very close eye on me and we never went where there were lots of people... but the forest, and the mountains of unova,the nature,is soo beautiful." Amaya closes her eyes, settling in the warm memories.
"There is a cave filled with gems that float and swim through the air and the tiny joltiks weave little webs between them. Feilds with tall grass and colorful sweet smelling flowers where deerling will eat out of your palm! And the forest is so amazing and the perfect shade of green covers everything.At night all the pokemon sing, it's so magical..." She opens her eyes with a small, dreamy sigh. I...didn't think that i might bet homesick eventually. What will i do then?
She offers a small smile.
"Sorry, i was rambling on again."

Lhee chuckles quietly, glancing at the room numbers out of the corner of his eye and wondering which one Amaya was staying in. "That's alright.  It sounds...  Nice.  I'm more of a listener than a talker, anyways."  Reaching down to place a hand on his bone club, as if reassuring himself that it was still thrust through his belt, Lhee lets out a small sigh and smiles again.  

 

"Sounds like you've had a nice childhood."  He was trying to picture in his mind the places she had described, though it was a little difficult for the marowak gijinka.  He had no idea what a joltik or a deerling was, and the scenes she had described seemed like some kind of fairy tale to Lhee.  Here I thought things like that only existed in books...  Maybe I should visit Unova sometime...

Amaya paused for a moment then lead Lhee to the next door ahead. Dorm 32.
" I-i guess you could say that." I alway say too much too new people, shush Amaya!

"This is my room..." She takes a small glance at him before bending over, and pulling a key from her shoe,Her long silvery-white hair brushes over her cheeks as she does.
"What abou--ouuu..about your,y-you're...clothes..." She bites her lip, stopping before asking him about his home. He seemed so uncomfortable when she asked him about himself, maybe it wasn't a good idea..
" They don't look like what you were wearing earlier."
Smooth. Smoothest gijinka ever, Amaya. A plus job.

"Huh?"  Lhee looks down at what he's wearing, then smirks and nods.  "Oh, right.  These are just some older clothes that I don't mind getting filthy.  I was...  Well, it's going to sound weird, but I was going to go outside to find a place to dig."

 

He shrugs slightly, a somewhat embarrassed smile on his face.  "I know that sounds odd, it's a ground-type thing...  It just...  Helps me relax a little, has ever since I was small." 

 

It sounded like she was going to say something else...  I wonder what that was about?  Is this a normal part of conversation?  Tch, this is all confusing...  Should I follow up on it?  Gah, why is talking with someone so awkward!?

 

"Was there...  Was there something else you wanted to ask?"  It was just a question, and they were already at her dorm.  Lhee had decided asking couldn't hurt anything.  She'd likely want to get moved in to her room, and he assumed she wouldn't really want help unpacking, so he'd likely be by himself again soon.  May as well try to make the small talk last as long as he could, he was actually enjoying speaking with someone who saw him as 'normal'.

Amaya chuckles as she stands back up, twirling the small key between her fingers.

"Digging, hm? It sounds messy. And fun, to be honest."she nodded, musing to herself,"I wonder what kind of things you would find like that.."

 

At Lhee's next question, she looks up at him, abit suprised, but that feeling was quickly washed away by worry. Her hands instinctively tugging at the skirt of her dress, key still in hand.

"Well...well yes, but, it 's somewhat personal, a-and I noticed you become rather uncomfortable about things like that, but..", she pauses for a moment before starting again."But, I was wondering what your home was like Lhee." Amaya really didn't want to make things awkward between them now.' Its so nice being able to talk with someone like this, i couldnt stand it if i ruined it!'

Sarah walked down the halls looking for the library, she walked past a few gijinkas as she wandered through the halls where could the library be? she thought as she ran in to a marowak and fell over "sorry, i  wasn't watching where i was going." she said as she got up, Damon put his guitar down "that's enough of that song, time to practice drive by, but first a snack." he said as he stood up, picked up his guitar and walked to the cafeteria.

"I...  Oh.  That..."  Lhee rubbed the back of his neck before sighing quietly.  "It's alright.  My home was...  Well, it never really felt like a home, y'know?  I was raised by an old man who took care of orphaned pokemon, in a place called Lavender Town.  I don't think he ever had any experience with a gijinka though.  Don't get me wrong, he did his best, I just never felt like I really belonged there..."

 

He wasn't sure how much detail he should go into, and was trying to figure out what else he should say when another girl ran into him.  Lhee stumbles a little but manages to swing his tail out to help him keep his balance, blinking as he turns to look at Sarah.

"Oh, uh, it's alright...  You okay?"  He offers her his hand to help her up, getting his feet back under him.  Huh...  Could she be a Scyther gijinka?

Sarah looked at him "i'm okay, i'm Sarah, a scyther gijinka, and your a marowak, I've never met one there seem so cool." she said as she noticed the swanna "oh hello, i hope you don't mind me saying but you are beautiful." she said smiling, Everyone here is so nice, i love it. she thought.

Amaya peeked out curiously from behind Lhee at the green girl who appeared suddenly,tumbling into Lhee.

'So, this girl is Sara, a Sycther gijinka. I've never heard of one before...What a cute girl!' Suddenly the girl was addressing her, and her words cause a pink flush to rush over Amaya's features.

"M-me? I, I hardly t-think so!",she stumbles, falling back into her timid nature.

'How do i reply to such a straighforward girl like her!'

"T-to receive such a compliment from someone as cute as you...Uhm,Uhm, my...I'm A-Amaya, i'm a duck!...w-wait, i mean Swanna.."

'Great Amaya, best first impressions ever.'

Lhee took the opportunity to set Amaya's bags down next to the door, since they had made it to her room, his hand instinctively reaching for his bone club again.  Giving a small sigh of relief to have the object back in his hand, he holds the bone over his shoulder while quietly listening to the girls.  Sarah was much more forward than he was used to, and he wasn't entirely sure how he should be reacting to the girl's enthusiasm.

 

"...Lhee.  And yeah, I like to dig."  Okay, I thought people were going to think that was weird...  What's up with these people?  Here I thought this was all a ground-type thing.  

 

He wasn't sure what else he should say, so he just shrugs slightly.  Lhee wasn't prepared to be so friendly on the spot like this, he was way out of what he considered his 'comfort zone'.

Amaya thought over this for a moment.

'Is digging a popular hobby?! What if everyone likes to dig, and they do it all at once and dig and dig,until eventually, they've dug too deep!! Can that happen? No, stop it Amaya. That is stupid, it can't possibly happen.' Only after she took a moment to collect herself,did she realized how very uncomfortable Lhee was. Amaya very much did not want him to be like this.

 

Finally Amaya takes her key and unlocks the door. She pushes on the door and it swings open wide, a burst of cool air escaping from the confounds of her dormroom.

"S-so, do you think it might rain soon? I..I really hope it does!",Amaya quips, picking up one of the duffel bags in her hands, scooting the other into the room with her foot." But, it dosent look like it will anytime soon, does it."She finishes with a nervous laugh.

 

'YES AMAYA PERFECT. PEOPLE LOVE WEATHER.Im the smoothest.'

Lhee smiles at Amaya gratefully as she redirects the conversation, taking the pressure off of him.  He could respond to something like that easily enough, as long as he didn't have to try and come up with a topic.

 

"Rain?  I don't know...  I could possibly tell better from outside.  I've heard some pokemon can actually summon rain, maybe they use something like that here to keep things scheduled?"

Catching his smile, Amaya relaxed considerably.
"I wonder."

She disappeared for a moment into the room, tucking her bags beside the vacant bed, and quickly crossing the room, reappearing in the doorway with a small 'woosh.'
" Maybe a castform lends assistance to the school. I would love to learn Rain Dance, myself. But noone sells the TM."
Offhandedly she stands on her tiptoes, stretching out to touch the top frame with her fingertips.

Lhee shrugs slightly, idly using his bone club as a back-scratcher.  "Never looked for it, not sure I could identify it if I saw it.  Never went into the library at my old school.  Not much for reading, personally...  I mean, I like a good book now and then, but I don't read enough to ever justify going to something like a library."

 

You're rambling, Bonehead.  Shut up.  She just asked you where it was, not for any kind of justification.  With another shrug Lhee lowers his arm back to his side, twirling his bone club in slow circles.  Not for any particular reason, just because it was a habit of his to be doing something with it.

" This school is rather big, it could be anyplace." Her gaze passes from Sara to Lhee, watching the bone dance slowly in his hand. Her mind began to wander back to what Lhee had been saying before Sara's arrival.

' I should really unpack soon, shouldn't I...' Amaya thought sadly. ' But I suppose I'll have time to chat later on, won't I. I shouldn't take up too much of their time as the moment is.'

She stood anxiously in the unfimilar silence of The corridor before reaching forward boldy and tugging on Lhee's sleeve.

"I-I um, should go unpack about now, shouldn't I.. I would hate to waste anymore of your time. Especially since you were off to dig!"
