"Not entirely sure, to be honest.  Seems the scholarly kinda pony to me.  He knew about the book, for one thing.  Kinda talks funny."  Pavisa shrugs as she speaks, setting her helmet aside and starting to take off the thicker armor on her forelegs.  She winces slightly as she gets one leg free, looking at the scratches and small burns running along her leg.  Guess that's what I get for trying to deflect a spell...  I'm lucky that's all I took from it.  

 

The guard reaches for her canteen, splashing a little bit of water along the cuts to quickly clean them before she starts wrapping a linen bandage around her foreleg.  "The captain seemed happy to have 'im with us, so there's gotta be somethin' to him right?"  Satisfied that one leg is taken care of, she starts to repeat the process on her second foreleg when Blizzard cried out and Midnight ran by.  "Wonderful...  Those idiot stallions had better not lead him back to the campsite."  Of course she was concerned for the members of the party, but at the moment it was still masked by her anger at the others for starting the attack in the first place.

Crimson noticed all the frost on the trees and a sudden climate change, causing him to suddenly stop and growl in frustration, "it looks like those two idiots have found that alicorn they were looking for...and judging from the distance of the sound, they shouldn't be much further..." Crimson paused as he noticed Midnight running towards them, "hey, Midnight! Glad you could join our little retrieval group! Now hurry up and get close to me, because I can sense where they are, I'm gonna teleport us there! and don't worry about the cold, as long as you stay close to me, I can keep your body temperatures at their normal rate! and remember, whatever you do, don't fight the alicorn! don't even upset him! His mental state isn't stable..." said Crimson as he tilted up his hat, revealing him to be a unicorn, his horn beginning to glow red, he then signaled for both of the stallions to get next to him.

This was most certainly the work of a Litany. Ahead of Saronyx and Crimson, there was a frosting on the trees and surrounding vegetation, alongside the sound of magical distortion just ahead of them. Crimson made the observation that his companions must have found the Alicorn, and by the sound of it, they weren't to far off. Saronyx gave the pirate a nod, but didn't speak. Crimson turned his attention towards another pony that Saron hadn't seen before.

 

Considering how the cursed stallion called him by name, he was from the group. The Crystal Visionary gave the newcomer a firm nod as Crimson greeted the unicorn, before telling him to come closer, so as to allow him to teleport the trio to the location of the Alicorn. Saronyx spoke at this point, "I feel I should inform you, that exerting a little more energy into your spell than normal may be required to include me. Crystal Ponies have a natural resistance to magical influence, whether from hostile intent or not."

Midnight nodded when Crimson said to stand closer for the group teleport, and made certain he was close enough for all of him to be included. He had done experiments on if the teleportation field doesn't surround an entire object, and the results were not something he wanted repeated to his body. "No need to worry about me getting cold, my armor was made for cold weather. Besides, this is nothing compared what what my brother can do, but then he specializes in ice magic. But yeah, let's just grab our headstrong companions and go before things get any worse." Midnight said, excited to get a look at this alicorn and not noticing he had accidentally mentioned his eldest brother. He had always heard rumors and myths about the Litany, and now he had the opportunity to see it's effects in person.

"Huh, you get used to funny talking 'round the Cap'n. Dunno where he picked it up from - s'pose he jus' likes the drama. Two of them together's gonna be the death of me..." Muttered Kingfisher as she prodded at the struggling fire. She was doing her best to ignore the panic that seemed to have been induced by the missing pair.

 

Besides rolling her eyes as the most recent 'assistance' passed on their way into the forest, she paid them no heed - choosing instead to deal with the much more pressing concern of finding out how heavy a rock the stale biscuits could balance without breaking. So far they were holding strong. 

 

She made a mental note to stock up on food when they got back to town and dropped the undefeated snack into the fire: which didn't seem to like it much either.

 

"Y'know, considerin' the tin suit, you came outta that pretty well." Nodded Kingfisher with a smirk. "Metal 'n' lightnin' don't mix so well... not like you had much time to change."

Blast could feel his insides freezing. This guy was starting to learn more abilities. He could tell that he still had yet to learn how to use them in a safe matter. He was freezing everything in his path. It could potentially hurt his sister. 

"See how much damage you're causing??" Blast shouted through the blizzard. "If you don't learn to control your powers, you're going to end up killing your sister with them! Or worse, yourself! I know all that you want to do is protect her, but you're putting her in danger by doing this!"

Steel turned to the stallion "let me ask you something "steel said " do you wish to die or want somepony else to she because that's all that will happen if you provoke him, its your fault he's using this magic in the first place" he turned to the alicorn "I'm sorry these fools won't stop bothering you if you would could you take you're sister and telaport away from here but you're magic is sing enough to take you far enough away"

"Normally you'd be right.  By all accounts that lightning should've cooked me."  Pavisa smirked as she picked up a piece of the leg armor she had set aside, tossing one of them across the fire towards Kingfisher.  "Only thing that saved me was I managed to catch it with that.  Not part of the usual guard's outfit, I had to pay for it out of my own paycheck."

 

Pavisa knew exactly what the armor looked like and how it fit together without looking at it, continuing to wrap her second leg while she spoke.  "The metal's thicker than a standard armor kit, although that would have still killed me with the lightning.  It's backed by a double layer of hard leather though, which helped insulate the blast."  Looking up she grins and holds up her leg, now wrapped in a linen bandage like the other one.  "So instead of getting fried, I just got a few cuts and minor burns from where the blast splashed around it."

 

Pavisa laughs and starts trying to see about cleaning out the cut on her head, trying to figure out where exactly the cut was under her mane.  "I'll stop boring ya with an armor lesson though, I tend to go on about it if I'm not careful."  Thinking she's managed to find the source of the blood dripping down her face, she brings her canteen up and splashes it into her mane trying to clean out the cut.

"You brought this on! You followed us!" Thundered Orion, voice seemingly amplified by his magic or rage.

"You are responsible for... for..."

 

The Alicorn stalled: something was wrong.

 

He knew what he wanted to say in a hundred different languages, but not in common Equestrian - his own words failed him as runes and scripture flashed past his eyes in languages he had never heard of: knowledge learned by another - taught to him by the litany.

 

"Don't. Follow. Us." He said instead - eyes gleaming brighter than ever, traces of words and runes hinted in the shifting aura.

"Come on Willow, these murderers won't trouble us again if they want to see tomorrow." He said, holding out a ghostly wing - which now appeared almost completely solid - to shelter her.

"I actually want to make sure you and your sister make it through okay. Wanna know why? Because you both care for each other. Maybe I'm a little bit too heavy-hearted for my own good, but that's just me in a nutshell. I want to be the hero. I don't want to kill you. I'm just trying to make sure you two are safe. If you want to use the Litany, you need to learn how to control the power it gives you. If you don't, you'll just put yourself and your sister in danger."

"No worry." Shrugged the mare as she looked over the overly complex armour with little more than a passing curiosity - the concept was brilliant but to her way of thinking is was simply a waste of resources.

 

"Still think that not lettin' stuff hit ya in the first place is safer. Too much weight in a tin suit." She said, giving up on her game and scooting closer, pointing out points on the suit.

 

"Joints here, here an' here. No movement. Might not need it if ya' gonna stand in front of stuff like some kinda hero but..." She shrugged. "Hit 'em fast', keep 'em off balance. No unnecessary punishment. That's more my thing."

 

She flashed a smirk.

 

"Or, y'know, hit em where it hurts while they're busy lookin' at you."

Careful with the god modding guys. I guess I'm a hypocrite but I am controlling the villain who we need for other things later on in the RP

 

 

Watching the two turn on each other, Orion did nothing for a moment. It was like the effect his friend - the one who had shown him how to pinpoint the litany - seemed to have on those around him.

 

"That... that's the magic I need. The magic I... I can't use yet..." He mumbled quietly beneath his breath.

 

Face fixed in an expression of cold determination, he swung about, seized Willow under his wing and warped away in a single fluid motion - discharging an empty spell into the air around where he had been to mask any traces of his destination this time: being followed was getting very old, very quickly.

 

They had spent enough time with these distractions: the Litany was waiting.

Steel noticed him leaving "good now then, back to camp" steel said as he took flight then called " don't try to follow him again, if you want to die so badly just say so I'm sure pony will talk you out of it" with that steel flew back to the campsite and landed back on his cloud

Blast coughed and swiped the dust away from his mouth. How did that alicorn know remember where the Litany was? Didn't matter. Blast and Chivalry ran back to the camp as fast as they could to alert the others.

Within a split second's notice, the two got back to the camp. "Guys, we need to hurry up and go, right now." Blast said in a serious tone. "Do any of you remember seeing an alicorn pass by here? Well, he knows where the Litany is. We need to get going if we want any hopes of getting it before he does. I fear that if he gets it, it could mean terror upon Equestria."

Pavisa grins as she takes her armor back from Kingfisher, trying awkwardly to affix it back to her bandaged legs.  "While they're looking at you, huh?  I'll admit to using that trick a few times in training...  But, while it sounds like a good theory to me, the suit isn't really for me..."  

 

She stops to push some of her wet mane out of her face, having completely drenched herself trying to clean the cut on her forehead.  "Really I'd love to get out of the way of blows like you're talking about.  I don't like getting hit, never have.  But...  Not everypony is quick enough or strong enough to get out of the way in time.  So...  The suit is for them."  

 

Pavisa looks up at Kingfisher and smiles, the piece of armor finally sliding back into place over her foreleg.  "I don't want to be a hero.  I just want to help keep somepony else alive."

As she starts to repeat the process with her other foreleg, she looks up at Blast as they get back into camp.  "You're kidding, right?  It's the middle of the night and we have wounded, we can't just pick up and go!"  She looks back to Kingfisher, frowning slightly.  "I mean, we know where the Litany is supposed to be, right?  So we know where they've got to go, they can't avoid going to the Falls."

Blast began wrapping up his previous wounds and looked at Pasiva.

"I understand your point, Pasiva, but I told you; if they get the Litany first, the power from it could overwhelm the alicorn's abilities, causing Equestria as we know it to plunge into chaos." He said, with a slight pinch of fear in his voice. "He thinks that the Litany will help him protect his sister, but he doesn't know the true power of this thing. That's why I fear him getting the Litany and finishing it will result in great terror for all of us."

Crimson paused just before teleporting them, instead face-hoofing and cursing, "those idiots just left back to camp! they might lead that phsyco to us! change of plans! we're taking a detour back to camp!" said Crimson in an irritated tone before teleporting them back to camp. Once they arrived, Crimson wasted no time in going straight up to Blast and Chivalry and smacking them both in the back of the head. "your both reckless, stupid and ignorant! We ALL agreed to NOT attack the alicorn mental case!! remember!? Are you TRYING to get us all killed!? you risked EVERYONE here at camp by following AND attacking that maniac! I'm not letting either of you risk the lives of the ponies (and one dragon) who agreed to help retrieve this damned book, just so you can TRY to kill a crazy alicorn, FOR NO REASON!!" said Crimson angrily.

Blast had had enough. He was tired of all of this shit from Crimson, Aphrodite, Pasiva, and everypony else. He then activated the Sonic Blast aura and lifted up Crimson by his neck, showing little mercy.

"You know how we almost fought to see if you were truly capable? Well, let's see just how capable you are!" Blast kicked Crimson to the ground and started wailing on his face with fast, hard blows.

That was unfortunate, to say the least. Well, both fortunate, and unfortunate, depending on how you looked at it. On one hoof, Saronyx had wanted to get a look at this Alicorn that so desperately sought the Litany.  But perhaps it was for the best that he did not just yet, if this individual was truly as unstable as this group made him out to be. Crimson had been about to teleport the lot of them, when he hesitated, exclaimed that 'the idiots' had already went back to camp, and quickly took the trio back there for them.

 

Upon arriving, the pirate had instantly sauntered up to yet two more Saron hadn't seen - but then again, it was a fairly large group, so that was to be expected, his having only been there for less than an hour - and cuffed both on their heads, berating them for their foolhardy actions. One of them took a major offense to this, in turn screaming at Crimson and activating some type of magical field before hammering into the cursed stallion.

 

The Crystal pony raised an eyebrow in confusion for a brief second, before he trotted to them, stopping only a few inches away, and spoke in a loud, clear voice - focusing on the assailant, "Enough of this!! Infighting will solve nothing, but brewing distrust, malcontent and spawning disharmony among your numbers! No good will come of it!" He extended one hoof slightly, not quite touching the attacker, but very nearly, "I will ask that you kindly stop this nonsense!"

"Oh for the love of Celestia..." Muttered Kingfisher under her breath. Her orders still stood: stop the two of them from killing each other. She hadn't failed to carry out an order to date and didn't intend to start now.

Preparing to deliver an unsporting strike to debilitate the more aggressive of the pair, she was interrupted by the glass pony. It was probably for the best in all honesty: violence would probably solved matters but words might well work too.

 

"When the two of you are done posturing and giving each other love-bumps" The mare lectured angrily. "We've got a quest and an actual enemy to worry about. Y'know, whenever you're ready to focus on that."

Blast realized what he was doing and stopped in his tracks. Why would he even consider trying to attack one of his own members. Blast quickly got off of his and apologized with sincerity in his voice.

"Right. Sorry. I just have a short temper. Anyways, let's just get moving.: Blast didn't do too much damage to Crimson. Only a few bumps on his head, but nothing major. He went back to the group and slowly entered his tent, packing a few things up.
