Hm. I could see Cascade's name and the Cascade Sea getting confusing. Perhaps I should change her name to Swirlpool, just for the sake of the RP?

 

But but but but butt... That's where the fun is, isn't it? 

 

This tremendous coincidence could end up with some of the characters getting confused and asking Cascade silly questions such as "is this sea yours?" or "I didn't know you were so famous", then we would have dah funniez.

 

But well, that's just my personal opinion right there...

I know it's not my place to say it, but I'm kind of concerned about your character being OP. Not only can he tell when people are lying/manipulate emotions of fear or whatever, but he can be invisible? And he's a pegasus? Isn't that a little overboard? I mean, the idea of emotional manipulation is even really strong on its own.

I never said he can turn invisible. Just melt into the shadows and hid within. I'm sorry if he sounds OP. I'll change him so it will be fair. So no emotion reading, emitting fear into others, or anything like that. The only thing that won't change is the shadow thing. If that's ok

Just so you all know, Cascade's wings are hidden. She has the habit of hiding them when she can. She's kinda embarrassed about them, and about how she can't fly. So for all intents and purposes, and as far as you all know as of now, Cascade's just an earth pony.

Hiding as a talent is fine. And I like how you phrase it, saying he can melt into shadow. But phrasing it that way sounds exactly like becoming invisible. I can see how that misconception might be made. When you play him hiding, be careful to make it look like he can't simply disappear.

 

Now, emotion reading? That's fine. Make it to where he can't actually read emotions like a book, but is simply a good judge of feelings and character. Easy change. 

 

And being intimidating is fine too, but not all ponies are easily intimidated. There's no need to change his entire character. You just need to scale it back a bit.

No worries, Kib. It takes time to get to know a character's strengths and all that anyway. You'll get to know your characters better by RPing with them, but it's easier if, from the start, you think of them as actual people. Figure out their limits. Take the extra mile to decide who that character is, and how they would react to any given situation.  To RP well, you have to be able to place yourself in your character's shoes. There's nothing quite like a good roleplay. 

 

You'll learn. And I hope you enjoy your journey as well. I sure have.

There's a few things I would include in Moon's character bio, but she would be too OP by then. More or less I built her from the ground up to be a healer, but she's better with mental problems then physical. She can treat a wound well if she needs to, but she's still like an amateur.

Anyways, on that note, as I said in the RP, I may drop out and/or switch Shyla out for someone else that I can use, because I worry I don't bring enough utility. Since she doesn't really need things normal ponies do I made her a very poor attacker due to her slow movements and as a result, I feel like she'd probably just sit there in a fight which there will (with this group) probably be a lot of despite her high amounts of defense.

Yeah.

She is, typically. In SoLs or Romances or parties. For this type of RP, though, I tend to make her a bit more serious and cynical. If you insist, I could play her normal.

 

I've been busy, had a concert to perform at and a haunted house to also perform at. I was Slendermane. Slenderman with a horse mask. I'll get around to posting now, then I got other stuffs to do too. Busy friday.
