gaming Discontinuation of the Wii

Although I've never owned a Wii myself, I've had good times going to peoples birthdays and assorted parties and having Wii Fit Bowling comps. Those were always fun.

I didn't really play any other games on the Wii though - just Wii Fit and Wii Sports.

Justin Bieber has many accolades by critics. Does that mean his music's good? Absolutely not. Just because he's a cash cow doesn't make him anymore of a good artist than Rebecca Black.

You also can't really compare a music artist who's only gets recognized for how many people listen to their songs to a gaming industry giant who's created a flood of quality games in the past few years that any person with a rational thought process would be quick to acknowledge and only a blind hater would dismiss, but I can see this is going nowhere

Comparing Nintendo to Justin Bieber will get you some Nintendrone hate around here, let me tell YOU.

 

Seriously, though. I thoroughly loved the Wii, like I said before. Not because of it's amazing graphics (because they don't exist, and just because I don't think graphics make or break a title doesn't mean I don't care about them at all), but because of the feel, the aesthetic of its best games, and yes, the controls. And it's completely fine if you don't see it that way. Just like it's fine for someone not to enjoy watching MLP. Us "Nintendo fanboys" probably do argue about stuff like this just to make ourselves feel better about our choice in video games, but I do want as many people as possible to enjoy it with me. I love playing Halo (multiplayer versus, at least), but for a much different reason than Nintendo games. And like I said, it's fine if you play games for that reason.

Uh, why not? Aren't we speaking from an economic standpoint? Sales don't determine what games are good or not, just look at CoD. The same applies for the music industry and television series.

 

Where did I even state that the Wii was not without, albeit a few, quality games? Yeah, you had your DKCR, Skyward Sword, Mario Kart Wii, No More Heroes, and Muramasa, but that in no way compares to the libraries that both PS3 and 360 produced. How does that make me a hater when I've had the utmost respect for Nintendo up until the Gamecube? Literally, I have every single Ninty system including Virtual Boy, so just because my opinion doesn't correlate with yours doesn't make me a hater.

Well first off, I never even brought up sales, I've been saying that many people from critics to casuals to hardcore gaming enthusiasts have liked most of those games. And second, you've been approaching everything with such a cynical standpoint that it's been very difficult to see where you're coming from, and honestly the Wii has a better library than most people give it credit for. 

 

Personally I think 20-40 games is a healthy number for any console. Sure it wasn't as big as the PS3 or 360, but I still think it had more than a big enough library to satisfy

To be honest I'm feeling pretty indifferent about this one.

 

Sure, the wii's controls were great and all, but not enough of the games had quality.

 

The good news for me is that my Wii's price is going to skyrocket.
