S'mo fun at Denny's last Friday, after a night of 'pony hunting' with my little sis. Drew this to thank our waiter, who was really awesome. Screwed a couple things up, but that's what happens when the pencils have no erasers. Well, thank ya muchly! I don't really think my stuff's all that much to write home about, personally - rather be one of the innovative artists who experiment with new and unique styles, as opposed to taking the "safe" route and largely sticking with the show's style - but I'm glad you like nonetheless.

Ha ha, let me put it this way, Thrash: I don't judge too harshly when it comes to art, and to me, anything that is appealing to me is good art, even if everyone doesn't consider it that way. As long as I like it, it's good. Heck, it could be stick ponies and if they're drawn in a way that I like, that's good art to me!

 

Not meant to degrade anyone who puts a lot of work into their art and makes something crazy good, I just have a wide berth of styles I appreciate.

Come to think of it, that's more or less how I am with the show itself. Some folks get extremely worked up over the slightest flaw in an episode to the point where it tanks their overall enjoyment thereof, but me, as long as there was something I enjoyed in it, it was a good episode to me.

I'm the same way. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a good analyzing of an episode, even if yes, this is a cartoon about talking ponies, but I feel that some people take small details and can't let go of their dislike for them. For example, there's actually not an episode I dislike so far. I mean, sure, I love some way more than others, but I always find something about an episode to love.

 

Yes, even Mysterious Mare Do-Well. I just love Rainbow Dash's bragging and the fan club in that episode.

(I feel it's a little half-assed, honestly. Definitely could've done more justice to everypony's favorite mod. But who knows, perhaps I'll draw more of her, if she doesn't think it's...um, creepy.)
