Sunny's mood went back to normal as she smiled at Jaeger thankfully before giggling at Solar who started to readjust her helmet. "Well how was I supposed to know how to put this thing on," she teased, suddenly looking at him with a slight blush and a twinkle in her eyes. "And you've got yourself a 'lovely' mane too Solar." She then couldn't help but nudge Jaeger playfully, "Doncha think?" Sunny felt much better when he readjusted the armor, it had been putting strain on her head...but of course it was because she simply put it on wrong. The mare laughed again as the trio continued towards the bridge, feeling somewhat comforted by their presence around her. The song in her heart began to raise exponentially with her spirits, creating a revival of her previous natural high. She was very grateful to Solar for his tender kindness and relished the remembrance of his powerful wing wrapping around her warmly and comfortingly. Sunny couldn't help but look to him as the continued, watching his every movements intriguingly as though the world slowed down around her.

Lee got up and looked over at charcoal, "I'm going to go grab some more cider, then see if I can find every other pony. You want to come?" (((no, I didn't switch his speech color, he's still shifted to look like a different pony, just saying that to avoid confusion))) He smiled at Charcoal, remembering her feelings when he had been hugging her. She was so strong, putting on cheerful face, despite the fact of what she had gone through. She's even able to hide her feelings. I'm not picking anything up. He was, to say the least, impressed. "So, I never asked you, how old exactly are you, Charcoal?"

Charcoal smiled and nodded. "Of course." Charcoal got up and walked over to Lee. "And to answer your question I'm twenty." Charcoal said. She didn't realm consider twenty to be that old. 'Come to think of it, how old can changelings get anyway? Probably something I will ask him later.' Charcoal thought to herself.

Solar Sentinel
Solar continued to make his way to the bridge after helping to adjust Sunny's armor. "Well, we're almost there." as Solar was able to feel the engines downshift into a lower gear. He stopped for a moment. "Sunny, I don't want to see anything happen to you, but I must inform you that I must put the mission first. I will protect you to the best of my ability, but my first duty is to Princess Celestia." he said in a forced smile. "I hope this doesn't change anything between us. When we are successful with the mission, I'd like to have you back to Canterlot to visit....for a proper...date." Solar barely squeaked out.

Solar looked back to Jaeger. "I just want to let the both of you know, I WILL protect everypony on this mission with 110% of my ability. Those coins are a promises that we will make it out successfully." Solar reached back into his bag, jingling it, confirming that he in deed had four remaining coins.

"Look's like. we came to you" Solar said with a smile. "But if your taking orders for drinks..." Solar laughed. "Looks like everypony is present."

Solar looked over to Moon Crypt. "Sir, looks like we'll be landing any moment."

Lee looked at Charcoal. "Twenty? Hmmm...I'm, well. I guess you could say I'm about twenty five. That's how long I've been banished from the hive and living as a normal unicorn. Though all together, I'm about eighty six. That's including living in the hive and on my own." He stopped in the mess hall and grabbed a few bottles of cider, and turned around upon hearing hoof steps on the floor behind him.

Sunny nodded knowingly to Solar's comment of how the mission came first, "I understand. I ain't about to become a liability," she stated giggling cutely at Solar's offer, "and I'd really enjoy a chance to see ya back in Canterlot when ya ain't on duty." Sunny smiled happily as they reached Lee and Charcoal, cowering a little at his question as she did with Jaegar before changing the subject abruptly, "I see y'all have been hittin' it off great. I'm really happy for ya Charcoal," she proudly stated...maybe a little too loudly.

Charcoal smiled at Lee. "Ah, age is but a number. I don't particularly care how old you are, but how old you act like." Charcoal said with a smile.

 

When they meet up with the others she noticed something about Sunny. "Hey Sunny, are you feeling alright? You seem to be acting strangely."

Sunny rubbed her muzzle casually at Charcoal's question, showing her bandages lightly on her hooves before returning from her itch. "I'm alright. Just needed some fresh air I suppose...If anythin', I'd say your the one actin' all strange like," she teased, trying to distract from her injuries as she motioned to Lee with her eyes before giving Charcoal a wink.

Charcoal blushed a bit. "Y-yeah... I guess you could say that." That's when Charcoal noticed the bandages. "Hey, are you alright, did something happen to you?" Charcoal asks as she motions to the bandaged on Sunny's legs. Now she was genuinely worried for her friend.

Sunny giggled again lightly at the mare blushing. She was indeed happy for her. Sunny held one of her hooves up against her lips as she shushed Charcoal calmingly before slightly smiling at her. "Doncha fret now...I just had an accident in the cargo room was all," she said, hoping that would satisfy Charcoal.

"An accident involving what? You don't have to hide things like this from me Sunny. I'm your friend and I want to help you." Charcoal said, taking a step closer to Sunny so she could look her in the eye. "If something is bothering you then you can tell me about it."

Sunny moved up closer to Charcoal, admiring the mare's traits of being so caring and kind to those around her. She closed her sapphire eyes briefly before returning them to Charcoal with a sigh. "Maybe another time...I, think we're about to land Char..." she stated quietly so that on looking ears wouldn't take much heed.

Charcoal smiled and nodded. "Of course. But I'm going to hold you to that later." Charcoal says with a smile. She gives the mare a quick hug before walking back to Lee. "Be sure not to leave out details, whatever it is that happened I'm sure we can help you with it."

Sunny accepted the hug willingly, telling Charcoal 'thanks' quietly before they released. She laughed a little at Charcoal's comment, "Like I said, I'll be alright. There ain't nothin' wrong with this here pony. I'm just excited to get off this here metal bird." The mare smiled again, trying to dispel too much curiosity of her previous excursion.

Charcoal giggled. "I can understand that. But regardless I still want an explaination later. I can't help my friends out if I don't even know what is bothering them." Charcoal said. This was something she felt strongly about and didn't let up on for anypony.

As the ship lowered, it very quickly slowed down, sending everything that wasn't seated or secured hurtling towards the front, including a crew member or two. As she set down quietly, it was quite smooth- until she actually touched the ground. Then the entire thing started rattling and shaking as if the ship were suddenly caught in an earthquake. After about half a minute of this, it ground to the halt.

With that, the captain of the ship stormed up to Moon Crypt. "I ain't doin' that again, whether or not you use mah ship or not. I wasn't told that I would be makin' a landing like this! This'll take months tah fix!"

 

"Be assured, I will make all of the arrangements for it's repairs. I wouldn't be surprised if it only took a few weeks with the quality repairponies we have."

 

The captain opened his mouth to continue, but Moon Crypt silenced him with a look. "Now, let's see where we landed, yes?" He poked his head abovedecks and then sighed. "If you parked anywhere closer to Apploosia, captain, you would be paying for repairs." And he was right. You could touch the buildings with your hoof.

Charcoal pealed herself off the ship and prepared to leave. She wanted to leave with Lee and Sunny but wasn't sure if she would be able to leave with the both of them. She began walking off the ship and hoped one of them would follow her off so she could have somepony to talk to.

As soon as Charcoal left the ship, Sunny galloped off as well next to her gleaming a smile as she felt the fantastically warm sunshine across her face. "Shoo-eee! 'Bout time this thing here landed. I was fixin' to get air sickness," she laughed humorously, awaiting a smile from Charcoal as she looked back to see if Solar and Jaeger were on their way out as well.

Charcoal smiled. "I didn't have any problem with that. Which is kind of strange considering that I can't even look at a hot air balloon with out wanting to crawl into a hole in the ground and sob like a little filly." Charcoal said with a bit of a chuckle, despite it being true.

"Probably since there aren't hardly any windows on it," Sunny joked as she trotted happily beside Charcoal, ignoring the pain of her cuts. She was so happy that everypony was in high spirits. That was her first intention anyways. It seemed as though they had almost forgotten the dire states that lied ahead and the blood curdling evil that plagued the land...but it was better that way to Sunny.

Charcoal chuckles. "That's true. But it is still surprising to me." Charcoal said as she walked with Sunny. She couldn't seem to take her eyes off the bandages Sunny was wearing. She wanted to ask abouts them, but she didn't want to push Sunny past what she was comfortable with.

Solar Sentinel

As the airship made a rougher than expected landing, Solar attempted to brace himself, however slid on impact across the floor, landing on Jaeger. "Sorry about that Jaeger, but on the plus side, we found out you make a good pillow," Solar said trying to regain his composer, adjusting his helmet before looking over to Moon Crypt. "Sir, If it's all right with you, I'd like to go and strech my wings a bit before you give us the briefing before you and Lee go." Solar than looked around for Sunny. If that impact joseled him that much, it must have had an impact on her. His primary concern going to her bandaged hooves. "BUCK" he said, before looking to Jaeger. "I'm going to go find her...." as he sees her walk out of the airship with Charcoal, he facehoofed and sighed. "What I wouldn't give to be naive again. Jaeger, I'm going after them to make sure nothing happens."

Solar fallows the two out of the airship, having their safety in mind, and begins tailing behind them, unintentionally listing to their conversation. He couldn't help but chuckle about the conversation about the balloon and airsickness. He hoped that they didn't hear him.

Jaeger looked at Sokar after he had landed on him from the impact with a slight frown, "Right, well let's just hope these services arn't needed again." he replied with a chuckle as Solar began to leave. "Well if you need me I'll be stretching out my wings!" he said as he took to the sky.

Sunny happened to look back after Charcoal's statement, hearing some more hooves trotting out the ship. "Howdy Solar! Finally got off that giant tin can huh?" she giggled teasingly, giving him a happy wink afterwards. The mare then turned back to Charcoal and nudged her lightly, "So where's Lee? I figured he'd be right behind ya."

Charcoal frowned and her ears lowered. "I.. I don't really know where he is. I with he had followed me. Maybe he J's just getting something from the ship that he forgot. Yeah, that probably it." Charcoal said, finding something she hoped would be true about him.
