Hub says: Background character gets his/her own episode?

I don't know if this has already been mentioned here but I don't think this is even possible by now. I once saw an interview with a voice actor and she said they finish recording several months before they episode airs. In fact, I think an episode actually first airs about a whole year after it's initial inception. So theoretically, all the episodes were done by the time the season premiered.

I dunno.  I'm kind of expecting it to be Derpy.

I know it's highly unlikely, what with what happened last time, but the other background ponies seem even more unlikely.  Hasbro has seemed to be taking a liking towards Derpy lately, with official merchandise and other things of her.

Plus, it was confirmed that we'd be seeing more Derpy.

So...who knows?

 

Heck, maybe it's a pony we don't even consider a background pony ourselves!

Like Big Mac, or Zecora (oh my...imagine a Zecora episode Cx), or Limestone Pie, or Discord.

Or some background pony we never even look at like Symphony.

If it was up to the fan base, the entire series would be about Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. AJ and Rarity would probably be written out of the Mane Six.

I thought we were getting just a back ground pony.

 

But I can indulge your idea.  The show is at least 65 percent slice of life?  Yes or no?  Conservatively mostly slice of life.  At least 51 percent.

 

So why can't back ground ponies have normal every day problems?

It would start to make more sense to show other ponies with those problems as characters like twilight sparkle,

and rainbow dash and AJ in their life goal already.  I guess flutter shy is living the dream life as well as pinkie.  I can't imagine someone more happy with life than pinkie pie.

A peak at character still on the path, who haven't' gotten to where they need to be would be refreshing.  Yes you can say the cmc, but people are clamming for the cutie mark crusade to end.

 

I wanna hear the rest of the towns frustrations or someone new.

I could ask for mayor mayer sense she's not a back ground pony,

but who really wants to know about her?

Okay, I'll use the process of elimination to give my thoughts.

 

Derpy is out for fear of controversy.  Remember how things went when she was just given a speaking role?

 

Lyra and Dr. Whooves have to much fanmade lore about them.  This increases the risk of backlash to giving them a cannon persona.  Hasbro would want to avoid the baggage that came with Equestria Girls.

 

Bon Bon is way to boring.  But that might just be my personal opinion.

 

Snowflake was just a one-off joke.  Making an episode about him wouldn't work to well.

 

Thus, I think the most likely background pony to be the focus of this episode is:

 

She is highly beloved by fans, the animators of the show seem to like using her (so they're used to her design, lessening the chances of animation errors), and she has a consistent personality in the fan-lore.  They could also confirm that Octravia is her roommate as an added bonus.

 

My thoughts on what the plot of the episode will be:

Vinyl Scratch realizes that her little cousin, Sweetie Belle, has a talent for music and tries to help her overcome her stage fright and make her talent shine through.  All the while annoying the hay out of Rarity.

he's copy righted LOL.  It's dr bloody who.  The fans who tacted on that story, isn't something they made.  But yes its likely out.

I forget what i said, but i liked jar head and the patriot so i was likely more open to the idea of him being there.

It could be the pony that gets an episode; I would be pretty disappointed especially since this doesn't seem like a character worth exploring but of course I would still watch it.

I really hope it wasn't Daring,otherwise I'd be pretty dissapointed.

 

I don't think it is though. Because Up until the episode "Daring Don't", As far as we knew Daring was just a character in a book, in a show (Characterception? lol) anyways. And she had a voice already(at least I think she did?I forget if she talked in the other episode she was in). I think we'll hear an "official" background pony that doesn't have an "Official" voice.
