thats nice but im just confused and ive tried to look up what its based on but idk where everyone else is but its really far ahead and idk how to keep going after starting out with getting the game

 

What exactly are you confused on? Really we are all still on the first floor, still within levels 3-7 for normal players and betas are at 12-ish? and like we said, if you wish you could skip out on the whole intro, and jump right into the action. You could always state that you were exploring the dungeon already and you just now come up for a breath of fresh air.

 

On a side note to others, I've just started drawing my intro so stay tuned for pics!

Alright! Here's are the first two pages of the EQO. it's a Work In Progress and I'm just posting it out here so that I can get some feed back. Would this be something that you would like to continue to see? Obviously, I will go back and clean it up, but for now I just want to get it out there. Also Grey Scale or Color? By the way, magic doesn't exist in SAO, with the exception of unicorn magic and crystals. Unicorns have highly limited magic spells, with only short-range levitation. Pegasi can only fly a few meters or so off the ground.

 

Overall:

 

Unicorns

+ Higher weapon mobility from short-range levitation

+ 5% resistance to all attributes

+ 5% increase in EXP from skill points

- Decreased DPS

 

Pegasi

+ Increased agility

+ Increased DPS

+ Flying (limited to one meter) decreases sound

- Decreased weight capacity

 

Earth Ponies

+ Increased weight capacity

+ Can use two-hoofed weapons in compensation for slower attack rate and shorter hit combos

+ 5% increase in strength

- Slower agility

 

This is how it should go, in my opinion. I'm a bit more indecisive on other species such as griffon (probably the same as pegasi), buffalo, zebras, and donkeys.

 

Weight capacity is how much a player can carry in his or her inventory before going over his or her strength limits. If you are carrying more than what you can, your energy is depleted 50% faster, therefore resulting in quicker fatigue, and 50% speed decrease.

As far as your character I see no problem with it. You're accepted (Unless @ sees an issue with it) Now it's up to you if you wish to write from the beginning to where we are now, or jump past the opening ceremonies. (If you wanted to jump even further, recently Cartophile stated that some players were close to finding the dungeon. You could be that player.)

As far as your sword/shield combo... In RWBY the shield extended because of the tech in that era, while I could see this being somewhat of an issue, I could also see how this would work. (Simple mechanics, between spring/locking mechanism) So my question is, how intent are you on the idea that it extends? If it's purely because of the "Sheath" you wouldn't need for it to collapse to have it. Example A: In Anime, Heathcliff had a sword shield that the sword sheathed inside the shield.

In Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones the character Hark had the same.

most of that looks good however there are a few things I would change. One being the Unicorns' Decreased DPS. With the higher mobility from short-ranged levitation, I feel that their DPS will be >= than Pegasi. I would say Increased Fatigue from having to constantly use spells, would be a better fit. Also the +5% Resistance, I feel that Unicorns should be considered as "Glass Cannons" where they are physically weaker defense wise, but their damage output is higher than any other class. Pegasi get stats bonus from wearing light armor, and Earth Ponies have stat bonus from heavy armor. Earth Ponies should also have a higher base HP but at the loss of DPS. Like stated in the Anime, SAO was one of the most fair games ever made. Now it's up to you to decide if you wish to play by this style, (example, I'm a Pegasus and I'm sacrificing the ability to fly to be able to wear medium armor and have armor on my wings to be used as a shield). This is just a guideline. I leave this up to discussion.

I really like the idea of the sheath extending, but if it messes with the story I'm fine with having the sword in the shield.

By the way, realistically it would take a few weeks to actually go through the first floor. It's not because they don't know where it is - it only took them a week or two, actually - but because it's difficult to navigate. Most dungeons in SAO are labyrinths, if not puzzle-based, semi-dungeons, or non-crystal zones (ex: Floor 27 with its various no crystal traps). Without proper equipment and inventory, it's dangerous to venture inside, and the best way is to map it out, though in the beginning of the game, mapping skills will generally be low.

 

And even if the boss room is found, you still need an organized multiple party group to successfully defeat it.

 

After a few floors, however, it becomes less time consuming to finish dungeons, mostly because of organized high level frontline guilds, easier navigation, and simply more skill. While Floor 1 can take around a month to brake, the floors after that usually take at the least a week or even a few days.

Speaking of such, I have worked and created an EXP formula that balances out SAO.

 

EXP to next level = 50*(1+((Current Level+1)^2.5))

 

So Level 1 will be 332, Level 2 will be 829, Level 3 will be 1650, Level 4 will be 2845, Level 5 will be 4459...

 

And if you think that's too much, remember that the base I used, the Lvl 1 Boar, gives you about 24 EXP. So it would be reasonable for farming at a low level, and usually the EXP in the game goes up quickly, along with the fact that most EXP are from quests or skills rather than petty mobs.

Commenting on this whole RP i notice only max 4 people being active. Even the OP/DM has essentialy handed this to Zephyr or whatever the username is right now. I don't forsee this continuing for much longer unless we all wake up and say if we're up for continuing this or not.

As for the EXP, I was considering editing it so the equation is like this:

 

EXP needed for next level = 50*(1+(Apparent Level^2.2)

 

Apparent Level - 1 = Actual Level

 

The level will be shortened, but not too much so it goes out of control.

It is accepted and (assuming we get that far) on a later floor, I have no issues with you finding a "unique" or making a shield that extends.
