Well people come and go, so there may be some that join up later if we keep posting on this and it stays on the "Recently discussed forum topics." People may come back from school or work and see how active we have made this and join back again, or new people will want to be a part of this. Either way, as long as there is a story, people will write.

Yeah. The OP never said anything about OC limits (though logically, we can't have too much), so I think it's fine.

It's fine to have 2 OC's. Makes for dialog with each other and more in depth combat. If you can handle more than 1 OC, then I'd say go for it!

Don't need to do that yet, they can probably see this. Plus, four roleplayers isn't necessarily bad.

 

Just PM some of the inactive players that had no response to the matter, or simply put, did not declare that they want to leave.

@, I am not the admin of this RP but i have this to say... An Ageless/Nigh Immortal Stallion pegasus, that has been protecting Celestia for a thousand years... decides finally to give himself a rest. What does he do? He doesn't get a luxurious vacation compliments of the Princess herself for his services, he doesn't go find a mare and live a good life, go meet his family grave, or his brothers or anything. He plays a video game... I don't think this fits his character.

Question about him. Since he protected Celestia before Discord was defeated what did he do during the Nightmare Moon times the first time she was around. How about the second time? What about the latest return of the elements?

His wings reflect all light... what like the cats eyes? Doesn't that make his brilliant much? Dark Rainbow Mane? I can understand a darker colored rainbow mane but the wings that reflect all light... how did he even achieve that? you need something reflective on them. So either he has some sort of coating on them that reflects all light... or he just has very light-colored feathers. Light colors reflect the light/heat thus many houses in places that have much light ((like the islands in Greece where i live)) have them. As far as i know there are no wings in any winged creature that "reflect" light, but then again we are talking about Equestria. Also... his wings reflect light but his mane is dark... and he wears a dark coat? What's the point if he's so brilliant? His whole Palette really blinds my mind. Wings longer than Celestia's? What the hell is he a monster?

I do not have a problem with the weapon as a weapon... but do keep in mind that weapons here are meant to be improved, broken and lost.

Since i don't want to be considered whinny i will aid you in making this OC better. It will help you get into RPs and generally be accepted more. You can follow these key points or dismiss them... it's your choice. I will not say however that i didn't warn you.

1)It seems strange to me that a stallion that protects the mare of the sun has dark grey colors. Don't follow the myth that dark/grey=cool. However dark silver... this color helps.

2)You don't have wings bigger than Celestia's... that's a big no-no... Great wingpower? Yes... but you can't do a sonic Rainboom. Massive wingpower doesn't nessecarily mean massive speed.
3)Wings that reflect all light... i realize that your OC's name is Mirrorwing but if you ask me your should keep this ability to the lower part of your wings. If everywhere you go your wings reflect light then you would blind everyone and you would be very noticeable... i believe maybe that's what you seek but do beware that none truly likes a showoff... Tone it down somehow.
4)Dark Rainbow mane... yea... you like Rainbow Dash don't you? I get it you do... and you like dark colors cause dark is cool but that's only a myth. Proposition is to change it to golden or at least a darker shade of gold. ((I just realized it would be awesome if you took the palette of Dark Rainbow Dragon from yugioh.))

5)1000+ years old... no just no. To do that you'll have to either be someone like Sombra, the Princesses, or whatever. Old yes... maybe something like Aragorn age 80 but looks 30-20. You haven't done anything to justify it whatsoever.
6)Friend to Celestia bodyguard yes, known stallion by her yes, but friend? Hmmm... nah you don't need that anyways.
7)Backstory is very short. 3 lines only? How did he spent his childhood? Profession? Parents? Brothers/sisters? How did he grow up, did he make any friends, did he have any encounters? How did he get accepted into the royal guard? What rank is he in the royal guard? Anything below the ranks Shining Armor had is accepted...
8)Why is he paranoid, loyal, quiet, or immature for that matter? This can be justified by his backstory. I am happy however to see that he does have some flaws and doesn't seem to be naturally overpowered at least from what i read here.

I am trying to help here... although i do admit i was a bit ironic at the start of my post.

you make good points, i made this oc with help of my freinds i was hoping to get some help from people to fill in the blanks better, in all honesty, i was hoping people would overlook the inactivity during nightmare moon, sombra, discord, etc. but he is powerless as long as celestias powers are canceled out, only can, any hel;p would be accepted

I took the test as Zephyr and got 27 points. Fairly high, but still no Mary Sue.

 

Same thing as Scratched Disk and got 42. I'm willing to bet that was due because of SD's relationship with Roseluck! ha ha!

I would say the sword looks good, however consider having that something that you would work up to, maybe around floor 10-ish or so. You're character on the other hand... Might need some work. I would suggest that, if you want to create a separate character based off of the same principles but more "cannon" like. IE A male pegasus, "Royal Guard" tall, (Well, Idk about size wise, because most Pegasi are quite small "Bulk Biceps" being the exception.) Silver coat, with a single or duel mane color. (Princesses and Rainbow Dash, are the only exceptions to this.) Cutie mark could be referencing to protecting Celestia as a Royal Guard, or maybe was the stallion in charge before Shining Armor. Something for you to work off of.

 

Again, this isn't us all trying to trash your OC, but rather some pointers to make it more likeable. I can't tell you how many times I've heard of people ranting about OC's and posting photos to my OC's Favebook page in which we laugh because of how silly they seem. To recap, try not to Mary Sue it, and design the character with the intention of being like a pony you see in the back ground.

@,@, Oh yea tottaly you have NO idea how OP i had made my first changeling OC. But then again i made it so because we were a band of such OCs and at that time we were having fun. I had made such a dark past for Selune Darkeye that she was practically bathed in blood of villains and abuse. I had to tone down the spells the story kinda around three times before i got it right. Easiest advice ever is "Watch and Learn" which actually means take a look to one of our OCs and follow an example. For gods sake don't overdo it! It's easy to make an OC with the need to actually make him/her cool... and it's easier to get off track. All in all you should use your imagination without seeking to create a crossover OC. Again i am sorry for my irony... but i've been there so it's better that i tell you now than you having to wait. You should know however that forum-style rp-ing is MUCH different than chat-style.

this was the only oc i had time to use at the moment but i managed to get out of work early so ill be creating new characters for different roleplays, that one is my cosplay and equestria war roleplays character so ya sorry about that, and in response to the wing comment, its because his abnormal wings that he stays hidden, and no, hes not the fastest pegasus, that would be hysterical, that was put in as more of a joke than anything, hes just strong but lithe, but ill repost a new oc asap
