Going into vs forum mode. Celestia isn't tanking a nuke, the blast will shred her and very well kill her. If she uses a shield, she might survive but she'll come out looking like this 

She'll survive, but be covered in scratches, scuffs, and bruises as well as as have quite a few broken bones. Of course, the radiation will eventually kill her though.

We have seen Celestia get overwhelmed numerous times in the show, with one famous example being when Queen Chrysalis successfully managed to overpower her in A Canterlot Wedding part 2. So any speculation of her being an omnipotent goddess is obviously false. If enough energy is used against her, it can most likely overwhelm her. Plus let's not forget, we're talking about a freakin nuclear bomb here. When a nuclear bomb detonates, it creates a fireball-like explosion with temperatures at several million Kelvin(which is much hotter than the surface of our own sun) and with an air pressure of over thousands of times our atmosphere.

I didn't bother voting in the poll because I feel the answers are a bit one sided.

 

In the end Celestia is simply an alicorn, she may have some nice magical prowess however she is just flesh and bone. A nuclear weapon would decimate her and the entire area of Canterlot.

My actual stance though; I don't know. I don't know how strong her magic actually is, which I think is a big factor. She raises the sun, a 1.4-million kilometre nuclear furnace in diameter every day. At the same time though, her strength shown in the show is significantly less than it probably should be... I'm not going to be losing sleep over this though, she's as strong or as weak as the writers make her.

Her magical abilities likely surpass those of anypony else we've seen so far. Shining Armor was able to erect a shield around all of Canterlot to keep out a Changeling army. After maintaining that for several days, becoming exhausted, and being brainwashed, the shield was eventually weakened to the point that the Changlings could shatter it. Assuming Celestia's abilities far surpass his, I believe it's not too much of a stretch to imagine her being able to create a personal shield or screen capable of withstanding such an attack.

 

 

The question of radiation has also been raised, and I think that's the only thing she'd have to worry about. Zecora might be able to brew something for that.
