My Lovely Horse?

So I was looking around Cheap as Chips today doing Christmas shopping - and as I saw the pink isle, I went over to have a peek just to see if there was any MLP stuff of any interest (although I was Christmas shopping for other people) - and then I saw this...

So I set out on an extensive search to find out more - and didn't find it in Hasbro's catalog, and isn't a brand owned (or partially owned) by Hasbro. I turned to Google and still found nothing apart from some weird song.

And they totally copied the name "My Little Pony" and even the logo from generation 3.

I didn't end up examining the box or anything though - probably should have - cause I'm curious.

Has anypony else seen these? Know who owns them or any other information like that?

Edit 2: A friend of mine (not of these forums) - found this rip off of Pinkie Pie...

Ok, now have a look at the My Little Pony Generation 3 Pinkie Pie toy...

Now I'm really baffled. Surely they can't copy that much without getting busted? Right?

Edit 1: Thought I should update the OP with this quote...

As far as I can tell the "My Little Horse" toy line was made by Shengheng Toys Industrial Co. from Chenghai China. Their website's either moved or was taken down. Possibly because I found a Heng Sheng Toys company from Hong Kong with a completely different toy line. So either they re-arranged their name and dropped the My Little Horse, or they were copying stuff from this company as well using a re-arranged name to fool customers.

Never heard of it, but it does look like it could be facing some copyright problems by using Rainbow Dash and a nearly identical logo on the box... I do see plenty of MLP copies all over the place though... Just not that obviously copied.

There should be a bunch of dudes and chicks who start a fandom for "My Lovely Horse."

And we can fight them.

And it will be cool.

:D

Nahh, that's just stupid, though. It looks like something you'd pick up at a flea market.

Reminds me of some other knock-offs of foreign origin. Typically Chinese. There were Robert Cop (RoboCop) action figures and stuff back in the day. Don't know how they could have gotten away with that other than if copyright laws weren't applicable there. Could be the same with these. Whether or not "My Lovely Horse" was officially licensed, I have no idea. You should have examined the boxes.

Funny stuff though, in any case.

Ah, good old knock offs.  Keeping the world a funnier place since the beginning of the Wheel.  I absolutely love KO's, I'd never buy one but I like to just look at them and think about the people who made them.  Then I remember that there is probably a kid out their who got this, instead of an MLP pony........now I'm sad  :(

Heh, Chinese knockoffs, they cease to stop producing. Seriously, they are the ones who should get C&Ded.

That is funny: what a complete ripp off of MLP.

Having said that: I was in BHS today shopping a bit and I did see some pony but none MLP slippers with a sort of cartoon cute pony like MLP FIM on the packaging and I wanted it because I thought the pic of them was just adorable!!
