Surely all you Whovians out there have seen The Day of the Doctor. If you haven't, I feel so sorry for you.   

 

But for those who DID watch it, did you like it?

I liked it, even though I'm still catching up. The last episode I watched was when The Doctor said "I don't want to go." and regenerated. But still, I loved it C:

Yes, I enjoyed it a lot. As a person who's watched ever since Jon Pertwee took over way back when, it was the crazy spectacle that I was expecting.

I loved it. It was even better than what I expected. The last thirty minutes were just incredible. And the last five made me cry. It was one of the best episodes of the show and, along with Princess Twilight, made November 23rd the best day ever.

 For me it was only ok, there are big plot holes and some stuff just doens't make sense or was ignored and kicked under the rug. To be honest it kind of finished driving the stake into me as a Doctor who fan that started with that mess, Angels Take Manhattan...all of this season wasn't that great aside form one or two episodes and the stuff that was bad was awful. 

 I hope the Xmas special stabs me in the feels and brings me back.

Oh, yes, I loved it. It was so cool seeing all of the Doctors all together. Great storyline!

Did I like it?...DID I LIKE IT?...

 

 

 

 

I LOVED IT!!!...let's see...it was the first time in forever that I actually got up from my seat at the ending credits of something and clapped furiously! IT WAS AMAZING!

 

My personal favourite DW story of all time was "Genesis of the Daleks" with Tom Baker's 4th doctor...I believed very strongly that nothing could come along and be as good as that...especially not with moffat at the typewriter...BUT MAN WAS I WRONG!!!!

 

Seriously...I had monstrous doubts about the episode...like, I was more pessimistic than Cranky Doodle at the beginning of "A friend in deed." I was very upset that moffat seemed so against bringing back all the nostalgia from the previous episodes/eras, and that he only seemed to want to move his own story forward...I was worried...really worried. But then...the references...the subtle hints...the old villains...the story...the ideas...THIS...came along, and I was blown away! I mean...the things we got to see...the time war, 10's return, the zygons, paul mcgann's regeneration, the 9th's regeneration (sort of...) Rose/Bad Wolf, a brief glimpse at peter capaladi, as well as seamless use of good stock footage from the old days past....it was enough to make my head implode!

 

But the biggest thing...THE biggest thing that I loved...the thing that made the episode top my list right there with GOTD...

...TOM...BAKER'S...RETURN...

 

I was in tears. That man...that wonderful man...he hasn't changed a bit! That was the scene...that was the one that did it all for me...

 

Simply beautiful...

 

This episode hit SO HARD...the jokes were on par, the action was on par, the writing was above par, and the acting/cast...brilliant.

 

I give it a 9.5/10...just like GOTD...

Oh yes, Tom was fun. It was a bit of a shock going from the sarcastic teddyboy to the nutter bohemian, so it took a bit of getting used to.

Honestly, I was expecting a lot better, but then remember it's Moffat so I guess I shouldn't really be surprised with how let down I was. The last episode of Doctor Who I enjoyed was The End of Time.

 I don't want to go into spoilers for those that haven't seen things so I will just discuss one; those that have seen everything will know exactly what I am talking about. In The Name of The Doctor there is one place the Doctor can't go because it will destroy him, they say this multiple times. The bad guy jumps in, then Clara jumps in to save the day, they again go on about how if the Doctor jumps in he will be destroyed or lost forever. The Doctor jumps in anyhow...how did they get out? How did they escape? They don't even pay lip service to an idea of how they got out of the thing by its very nature should have destroyed him when he jumped in BUT didn't and going by how it is what it is it would make sense he couldn't jump back out but he did. They never even bother to give a passing line on how!

 

  Also, a second one. When the Doctors use the equation to save the final thing they do the equation starts with John Hurt, if that is the case how would the Doctor's before Tennant have also been working on an equation that they hadn't needed to and in the case of the first Doctor haven't have time to solve?

 

  Those are just a couple of the many, many examples.

I loved this episode! The "Doctors" played well off of each other and they managed to bring a lot of "funny" to a very serious,exciting and character driven story. Their personalities worked so well together and their dialogues were superb. I liked how this episode explored "who the Doctor is" and wasn't only a big universe saving adventure (which would have been awesome in itself). This managed to make it so much more and turned something fans have believed for years upside it's head. And it's implications for the plot of the next season(s) is also really interesting!

I didn't think of complex plotholes, but all the same.

1. How can the Time War end at two different regenerations of the Doctor?

2. All the same, how the heck could Galilfrey be frozen in time after the War (Doctor 8.5, practically) Doctor, yet in the last Tenth Doctor episode, Galilfreyan Time Lords teleported out?

 

As a last note, why did they need the War Doctor in the first place? Why did they have to put him in the series?

I loved it. Smith and Tennant had brilliant chemistry together and Hurt made a great alternative Doctor. "The Five Doctors" is my favorite anniversary special but this would have to go second.

I loved it soooo much. I loved how we got to see how three different doctors would interact with each other. It definitely satisfied me to the maximum.  (Also, I started fanboy squealing when Tom Baker started talking with Matt Smith )

Maybe it was the circumstance of his jumping in? Maybe Clara did something? 

I would assume it was more a psychological premise than a physiological one however.

You could argue that the doctor went and talked to the others, however this lacks depth.

I would assume it though.

Although I didn't know much of what was happening, I still liked it. It was because of this that I started watching the show more. I had started on the classic series, but quit and went straight to the revived series. I am now a few episodes into David Tennant.
